Personally I don't like turning into the mount. (I still want to see 8 people poking out of the Lunar Whale!) But with it having a special animation, I guess it's understandable.
Interesting that they're doing a phoenix mount then something connected with Louisoix; coils of Bahamut vibes there, and FF16. Phoenix refs everywhere!
Funny watching how the devs take from popular mods, still. There's been a ton of mods for a while now which just transform you into the mounts, or other things such as the Scholar fairy, by removing the character model and changing the mount model a bit.

Soooooo it could be possible that the FFXVI Cross-over could see Ifrit as a reward, wherein you become Ifrit:
1. Ground animation is similar to him running like he does in the Titan Lost fight.
2. Flying animation is his fused, winged state with Phoenix (Joshua).

There's not many events I actually go after, but… as a phoenix enthusiast, this is possibly the MOST desired item I've ever seen from an event! Gimme! GIMME GIMME GIMME!

Event seems cool. The messages thing could prove interesting and new mini games are fun to mix it up.
Not a big fan of transforms for mounts though, kinda disappointed in that aspect as the design seems really cool.
Cool mount. Will likely get it and keep it with the rest 100 or so while still using my company Chocobo to go place to place.

I LOVE transform mounts, may or may not be a huge fan of the 'additions one can add to the game' for them. It's so cool how they're added these ^^
Small gentle correction, it states the louisoix quest will be available even after the event ends, so I personally read that as it is available during and after, not exclusively after. Also when I read that you turn into this mount, you were the first person I thought of given that you called it right!
I enjoy the slider and memory puzzle games, as they're quick and stress-free. I hope this new one is along the same vein.
Personally I'd really like a audiosurf style minigame that utilises our unlocked orchestrion rolls.

I hope one of the messages we read from the event is from the old Path Companion, letting us know they survived the Calamity and they're doing fine now, even a decade later.
