P3S ruined me for savage runs. Expectations is too high. I cannot dedicate the time for savage runs , I want to try them and get the armor token per week. I know everyone will just say savage is not for you but isn't it now exclusive to only certain player now?
I havenât played CC since the whole drama of insta win mods came out. I then moved to frontline to grind out a certain reward and stopped all pvp once I had it. Series 3 doesnât have rewards good enough to suffer through crazy mod dumbness and so I have no reason to come back.
If SE tackled and took mod usage seriously Iâll come back but until then itâs definitely not worth it.
As a father and FT worker with limited time I have been teetering on how to fully jump in high end content and how to keep my commitments.
This is the first patch fully caught up and I am very motivated to make it work, but my family comes first.
I have found success through PF … finally making it to Enrage in EX4 after 3 hrs. I found my confidence grow and think HE content is not out of reach, but I need to respect my values.
Is the jump to Savage in PF even that much worse? I am trying to keep confidence up and hope to chip away, if I can't find a group with similar commitments.
great discussion, tysm for the vod!
I blame a majority of the problem on people's expectations. Raiding is completely different because it's the one where people actively discuss and eagerly await spoilers when they are spoiler adverse in every other situation. And for the content creation, you can't expect anyone to work to your timeline. Everyone has their own and there's a general preference for the first and then the best. And once you get the best, then there's going to be a lot more effort necessary to draw attention to your production.
There is always a preference for damage over mitigation or anything else because of FF14's raid design. Hard enrages basically ensure that damage is the most important stat and everything else is second. So, most raid parties will have a preference for these classes with the highest DPS.
The commitment is what has kept me and a friend out of savage for years. We managed to clear P2S with pugs, but its a slow and frustrating process as its always a dice roll on what quality of group you are going to get. Savage feels like a wall that most players stop at which has always baffled me that Ultimate exists even further beyond it for an even smaller amount of players.
Nice chat to listen to. For me, I'd love to do Savage but I'm just not at the point in my life timewise where it's possible. Not only do I feel like I would'nt be in a good headspace for this after work, but also having others depend on me and my availability seems like a huge headache..
I enjoyed pushing myself in the last savage teir but I am sitting this one out. After progging for too long because we started loosing people, the longer we stayed in party finder. Which ment we lost more players because they got tired of waiting. After awhile we stopped filling in spots and just went to pugging because we took too long to find someone wanting to commit. It just spiraled after.
I cleared P4S after about a month and a half of progging three hours a night but a good portion of that time was just sitting in pf. Get so many mechanics in. Then someone decides were not going fast enough with progging the fight and quits.
If I had a static that was willing to be patient and was actually sound for me. I had to move my days off to split days to raid last time and it really upset me that I can move my work around and people can't be forked to show up on time.
Iâm the one person going for world last đ
