  1. So I have a max lvl Paladin and I’m trying to lvl a Dark Knight too but I’m running out of activities (I’m lvl 40) on the Dark Knight. Can I buy a lvl boost for that job or what activities should I do to lvl? I’m no really new to FF14 but I don’t really know all the difference activities like except for Fates and the daily roulettes?

Btw this is all on one character

  2. I would love to see if you post something on marketplace, it’s locked in for a week or so, to prevent bots from undercutting to the point that mats that sell good are now useless. I feel like this will force people to wait and see if it sells, instead of constantly driving down the price. I have seen end game mats that use to sell for 4000 each drop to 500 or 600 and it’s frustrating for us that need to make money off our gatherers.

  3. Well, the first thing anyone should do after finishing the MSQ is to go back and do the Kugane Jumping puzzle if they haven't done it already. You haven't technically completed Stormblood until you do. Sorry, I don't make the rules. If you want to make it even less painful then invite a few hundred people and only do it at night.

  4. I agree with Chris, public roadmaps are dangerous. 20 years in the software industry and I can tell you that there are no number of disclaimers that you can put around a roadmap, everyone will always see them as commitments and treat them as failures if anything is not met

  5. Hi there! 🙂 Newer player here (about to face Ifrit for the first time). I would have loved to hear about different aspects of the game you can do as side content after the MSQ. Some things I've heard about are the Gold Saucer, crafting, beast tribe quests, mount farming, and I'm sure I'm missing a lot of other stuff.

  6. The best part about FFXIV aside from it's best in genre storytelling, is that imo it's also the most fleshed out "theme park" MMO. While the other big MMOs in the room and upcoming ones focus on core combat systems and gear grind, FFXIV has so many non-progression related endgame activities of adequate to high quality that the game has become more than the sum of it's parts. Best of all, most of that content stays evergreen, doesn't get invalidated by the patch/expansion cycle, and still get iterated on from time to time.

  7. Guys here is the deal. I play FFXIV for the MSQ and dungeons, trials and (normal) raids. What I need to know in your opinion what are the other quests that are fun to play or quest that may give cool/fun loot. Like for example some the armor and weapon quests. Are they to Much of a grind for a casual player like me?

  8. In terms of commodity sales, Pirates of the Burning Sea had my favorite market board. Whenever going to buy goods from the marketplace, you don't see a listing price, only the number of that item that is available and the last 10 sales (both price and number bought). As a seller, you put stuff up along with the least amount of money you would sell it for. In the backend, the people who agreed to the least amount of money have their goods sold first, but they get the full amount that the buyer chose to buy the stuff for. It helped protect the market (mostly) from being tanked from constant undercutting.

  9. You spent the first 5 min telling people “do what makes you happy” then the rest was a discussion on how you would change market boards and create a development roadmap. As you said, there are a lot of new players that don’t know what kind of content is even available. Do they know that their are 4 different relic tracks? Or that fishing is it’s own sub game that allows you to explore and discover? How about all the things you can do with crafting, individual stories, custom deliveries, sky builders, free company crafting. Do new players now that each expansion has a mount tied to trials and if you collect them all you get a shiny mount? I was looking for options that I hadn’t thought of in this vid.

  10. Your vids have been incredibly helpful for a new mmo player like me, but not so much this one. I literally just beat the ARR msq last night but I'm damned if I even know where to begin to go.

What are some of the things you would suggest a new player who just beat the msq do?
