Blue Mage Morbel is the one I didn't go over that belongs in contention.

The "Tank You" achievements for the 2nd mount for each tank class is pretty bad. Plus the text of the achievement is incorrect, any dungeon over 61 does not count, only roulettes and 61+ extremes.
This one and the 2000 mentor roulettes are both heavy grind-only mounts
if its rare mounts that people may never get, all the FEAST mounts, since they are limited and theres no way to get them anymore, not to mention during the time when you could get them you had to be competitive enough to get them(or win-trade)
When it comes to "still obtainable" then jeah the pteranodon is freaking hard to get. Just saw a couple of ppl who got this Mount (and tbh i think this mount is ugly as hell)
When were talking about not obtainable anymore than its by far the Legacy Chocobo or the great Gobbue from 1.0. After that the Feast Mounts.
Victor Mount was pretty damn grindy, especially considering all the hunts missed by like 1-2 gcds lmao. jeez.. But ye, I agree Ptero is no1.
What about the Parade Chocobo that requires 3000 commendation.??
I got the Pteranodon mount a month ago and I only spent 3 months grinding on all DoL and DoH jobs assuming you spend just 8 hours a day working on it. Easier to do the crafting now if you're level 90 crafter and pentamelded since you can just macro it.
The hunt mounts just take a long time and you have to be part of both hunt linkshells and discord channels to get notified of as many hunts as possible. I got my Triceratops mount after a year of that.
I really think the mentor mount is the hardest one outside the unobtainable Feast ones.
Me who hasn't even got the basic tank mount for paladin yet…. lol
(I do have it on my lalafell but not on my miqote)
I honestly feel a bit disapointed how these insanely grindy mounts look so basic/bland next to others. Going with what some person commented here, 8 hours a day for 3 months of just absolutely no gameplay, just sitting there hitting a button or two and going to the marketboards ocassionally, sounds like hell.
I'm an omnicrafter and when I started I used to spend 8-10 hours crafting trying to make some gil. Took a break after 2 weeks straight of only crafting, to play some other games and after that I can only craft for 30 mins tops because I always think to myself "I could be enjoying a completely new game and experiencing new stories but here I am stuck hitting 2 number keys for 8 hours because I chose to"
i was gonna attempt it but when he worked out the math and said it would take over a year to get…… but then again i always told my self i'd never get the arr relic and now i have 3 so who knows.
the hunt ones are also pretty grinding too. 2k A ranks and 1K s+ ranks. It a lot harder to get the mount the longer you wait to grind on it. The only person I know that has these mounts (both ShB and EW one) plays this game 24/7 and spent the first like 3-4 months doing nothing but hunts (and big fates when they popped up). now there aren't 3x the instances for each zone so your A ranks will fill up slower but also there isn't as much interest in the S ranks which require that you do something to get it to spawn.
