  1. I rather say "The WoW Token reaffirms the Developer to put less effort into creating quality content since enough people are willing to pay for this service which evens out the loss of disgruntled customers switching to other games"

  2. I remember the WoW token being 22k when it first came out and I thought that was too much. 😆 Now it is more like 225k. Not sure how old that 75k screenshot is. If I could find them for 22k or 75k I would drop a million gold right now and play 'for free' for the next 15 years. 😆

  3. It's funny how this is still a topic today even tho this stupid token has been in the game since late mists of pandaria/beginning of wod. Which was back in 2015 era.. I remember so clearly that the only person who really criticised this token back then is Heelvsbabyface, videos like this should've been put out years and years ago its really late now and I dont believe they will ever remove it from the game, not only incentives them to put shit content in the game, it also makes them get away with having to have less GM's to ban goldsellers/buyers so this token really is the oppitimy of the blizzard attitude towards the world of warcraft, as long as this token is in the game it will never ever be a good game

  4. You got to be a big Auction House player (addict?) to justify spending 5 million gold just so you can look at the auction house at any moment. I just mail my crap to an alt who's standing in the auction house for a few copper. 👍

  5. yeah no.. 5 million is a LOT. It may take 7 week to farm the materials that CAN be worth 5 million. But you still have to SELL all of those materials on the auctionhouse. Which is what can take way more time.
Usually gold farmers put fantastical numbers into their thumbnails 500K per HOUR!!! and then at the end they mention that "my addon tells me the materials i farmed could be worth 500k" which is entirely different from "I made 500 k in X time."

  6. The wow token is really just the direct result of blizzard getting away with monetization tactics because people were addicted to their game.

The have a high monthly fee.
They have a cash shop with unique items you can't get in game.
They have cash shop items that provide advantages in the game (battle pets).
They sell gold and level boosts (tokens).

In any game, any of these practices is highly criticized by most players. The only reason that we're all here is because the player base mostly woke up that in addition to all of these awful practices, blizzard isn't listening to feedback. Sure some people are mad about the lawsuit allegations, but the nonchalant dismissal of the players concerns really turned most people off.

  7. Tokens on my old server used to be worth 225k gold, I can't believe how far the value dropped! 😂 God, that game is becoming a joke in every way, the tokens dropped because the community is slowly dying and ppl don't want to spend any more RL money on this F-ing game…Guys plz just jump ship and find a new game, not even just saying FF14, which is what I play, but give Activision/Blizzard the finger and move on. At least long enough to where it starts to hurt to their wallets, which is the only thing that will make them start fixing this shit show of a game. For every one little thing they fix for the "payers", always at the end of an expansion btw, there are 10 other bigger problems. I played WoW from WotLK on and I loved that game but that horrible company no longer takes pride in this game anymore and most of the Devs don't love this game at this point and it shows. This is purely a business for them now and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Stop being miserable and bitter playing this mess and find something that you have fun with and makes you happy again, as paying gamers we all deserve that, at the very least!

  8. Blizzard has no shame. They call it the "Black Market Auction House" for a good reason. Blizzard shills only "arguments" for wow token being fine is that you cant buy world first kills(lmao), and that people have always bought gold from chinese bots.

EU wow token is 315k, casual players can make 10-30k gold/hour

  9. if mike ybarra is outwardly manipulating the value of a digital currency that the company he works for is directly benefiting from i wonder if that is even legal tbh. since the wow token has real world value as well as in game value it could be regulated (not completely sure about this as legal gets crazy). given all that blizzard is under fire for recently with sexual harassment claims I wonder if there aren't other unlawful things happening here with like market manipulation and such or worse.

  10. i get gold cap every single patch in a week, wow token is 208k, havent pay for anything in blizzard since my first month playing wow
brutasaur was easy to get, people just cry too much, no one say anything about world first race wasting 300m+ gold in boes, funeling, etc. most of it RMT like a couple of years ago with the galliwix drama

  11. 3:25 – Just for shits and giggles I looked up the current price. US token goes for 208,731. EU 314,313. China 615,834. Korea 323,405. Taiwan 350,564.

Either that footage is ancient or the price is photoshopped, lol.

  12. to be realistic, both games SUCK at it, RMT and boosting is done hard on both games, Yoshi can say wherever he wants "no pay to win", yea right my friend is getting 500us a week just selling boosting
square enix cant even check my pc mac/ip, if my account is logged from eu, us or any country at all
you dont even need a VPN to do RMT on FF,
blizzard sucks but everyone clapped when they banned all galliwyx hahahaha, cry when they ban the biggest RMT in wow

  13. Well yeah, the FFXIV dev team members are also playing the game, they don't want to spend money that way either.

Now Blizzard on the other hand, we could wonder, do these developers even play their own game ?

  14. to be fair – you can buy gil legally with rl-money: job boosts give 500k each. it's just pretty expensive for a handfull of millions, but you could if you're desperate xD

  15. I remember getting into it with some ass that was like "i buy boosts/tokens to save time".
He had nothing to say when i pointed out he was just trading time in game playing
to time at a job working to pay for it.
    —-> people are fucking stupid.

  16. If someone had asked me 6 or so years if I supported the Cash shop in WoW I would have said "Yeah, it's not the worst thing in the world" because WoW was great and I was happy to buy extra cosmetics. Nowadays? No, because they've driven WoW into the ground and all it does is fund Bobby's 5th yacht.
FF XIV on the other hand, since it doesn't appear to line the shareholders pockets and instead goes into improvements for the game, yes I support the cash shop

  17. At the start of SL my guild was one of the first to clear all mythic 0s on our realm, before mythic + was opened (yay for timegating) and a friend of mine which i was in a mythic 0 group with noticed someone in general chat selling mythic 0 boosts for 100k per mythic 0 (i think there's like 7-8 of them, don't remember i quit before 9.1 after clearing castle nathria), and he had people going for it. My friend then decided to fuck around with him and started a bitting war, and tbh if we weren't just fucking around to mess with the guy selling boosts, i'd probably taken that 10k-15k gold per mythic 0 at the time as i was poor as all hell and we were starting raiding soon after that, kinda glad we were only joking, since i don't want to participate in that cancerous shit.

Like, one of the reasons it's so popular, is exactly because boosting is fast money and raiding is money consuming, a lot of raiders are poor sods, especially if you like me didn't go completely degenerate in WoD and abused the garrison and made millions from the comfort of your "home", like one expansion made people multi millionaires, because blizzard couldn't get the idea of player housing right, and instead turned it into a gold farm on steroids. Now there's so much gold in the economy, that the idea of the wow token only costing 73k is actually laughable.

  18. And sadly some people say money is not the source/root of all evil. If those people ask me what is the root on all this then the perfect example would be WoW token. Quality of sets are dropping significantly because now all they care is money they make from token which basically contain more put effort set behind pay wall instead of IN in-game. Not even feel ashamed they blatantly showing off their greed and just done with hiding it any longer.

  19. I hate Blizzard, Activison and Robert Kotick … . The whole money I could spent to a pet shelter but I spent in 11 years over 2k € for WOW and Diablo … . I hate myself and I hate them all.

  20. 75,000 gold for a WoW Token? Seriously… wow. That is a total rip off. I remember in the final patch of Legion before the BfA pre-patch dropped the WoW Token was worth between 275,000 – 375,000 gold. I… have nothing else but to say again, that is a total rip off.
