You have to actually HAVE a character with the hair you want to use on Live servers though! Just bare that in mind đ
1. log out of live game with the hair you want.
2. back up the appearance data of that by right clicking said character in the character select screen and choosing to save appearance data.
3. find that file in your doccuments/mygames/ffxiv folder
4. copy said data file into the benchmark folder
5. rename it to whatever it is with _BENCH
6. Load Benchmark character creator, and choose from drop-down.
7. Close benchmark char creator and run benchmark.
8. Profit.

An important thing to note is that the hairs that aren't part of the default selection will NOT have the upscaled textures from Dawntrail.
Now if only I could somehow use my mods
I really don't see the difference.. Maybe i'm just spoiled with other games, but this doesn't seem like an upgrade people are hyping it up to be at all.
I hope the bold and the braid is actually updated for launch tho. It already looks horrible compared to other styles considering its new.
I mean I wouldnt mind going back to male viera hair 15 for DT like I have for the benchmark but still. I feel like theres 1000s of other buns with it. And only 100s using bold and braid lol
Thank you so much for this. been looking for a way to import my character in the benchmark, this helped a lot, thank you!
I use a paid hair and can say that's been upgraded already — I do wonder if they'll all going to be done for the live game but we'll see.
My character looks so different with the new graphics, not sure if I like it. :') Don't get me wrong the details in texture and all are amazing but I fell so in love with the face of my WOL and now its just not her anymore. Anybody else fell like that?
this doesn't with with the new hairstyle for buns or any store bought ones….
Thank you so much!
Kinda sad that my Wol looks so different now, her eyes look kinda dead, like she is not there, gotta get used to it, or just use the free fantasia when the expansion launches…
Chrono Trigger, Cross, FF12, and Legends of Mana? Nice
If anyone wants to see the hair on another race that your main character isn't currently using you can use a Fantasia on your Retainer (very cheap on MB), talk to the NPC <Retainer Vocate> in main cities, select "Change a retainer's appearance and nickname", create your new character the way you want, save when asked "Save Appearance data?" (You don't need to change your retainer appearance so after doing this just go ahead and cancel everything), after this do step 3 onwards that is in the video description.
It really sucks that they only give you so many hairstyles to work with for the female hrothgar
Thanks! I hope SE don't get pissed about this! Good thing! This game is NOT made by Nintendo! They'll snipers set up and ready!
