FFXIV – The Teleportation experience

back when i started paying final fantasy 14 i would spend all my money on marketboard food and gear, leading to very awkward moments in which someone would desperately need my help, but still would charge me for my teleport fees…

  1. Make sense, you can't tax outlaws. But you can sell them services like booze, entertainment, weapons and even transport. Since only a greedy or dumb outlaw would attack the Merchant that supplies their gear & needs.

  2. how do people actually manage to get gil? the only reason i got by when i started is bc my 2 friends gifted me 700k gil each and even scolded me for not using the gil to teleport at first 😭 i was deadass walking around gridania to and from my quest points bc i didn't want to waste gil and now here i am broke from the marketboard with no means of earning except for dailies 😭 i really do need to get on the crafter grind huh

  3. Lol. To be fair sprouts below 50 probably don't have aetheryte tickets BUT.. you can get on a boat in vesper bay that takes you to limsa. If memory serves me right, it costs 80gil. 1 fate or sell some odd stuff to a vendor

  4. Luckily I got like 300k on my first few hours playing the game because some people were doing a riddle answering event in Gridania. That gil covered the teleportation fees until we finished ARR xD

  5. Fun fact for newer players just so you know.
You can do Hunts in ARR, HW, and Stormblood for Allied seals (ARR) and Centurio seals (HW and SB) by doing this you can go to the vendors for each one and you can purchase Atheryte Tickets. This way you don't have to spend gil when you teleport 🙂

  6. It's a good thing that Limsa has Arcanists' Guild whose jobs also include taxing considering that they use math to kill you.

I haven't had problems with transportation, only that I've already reached gil free trial limit.

  7. As someone who tried crafting for 2 days and then shelved it, the idea of "not having gil" is so strange lol

In case anyone's having trouble with this, a good way to always have aetherite money around is to do your roulettes! Seriously, even after the daily bonus, it's enough money for any teleport. Also remember to set your 3 favorite locations as well for 50% discount

    My setup is:
    Free Aetherite at Mor Dhona
50% on the 3 Alliance cities
Home base at Ishgard (because I don't want to spend a SECOND more than necessary on the Limsa Aetherite square)
