I mained Astro from Heavenswards all the way till the very end of Endwalker and this summarizes some of my fondest memories! the video might feel mean spirited but i do truly love healing, even if its hard to describe why!
nowadays i main tank in FFXIV but i wanted to do this video before i made the Tank experience because it just felt right

as a summoner main I can confirm that I have had many healers giving me the death stare when I dont use my resurrect
though to be fair im supposed to either swiftcast one ruby or my slipstream (usually the latter), but RDM gets DUALCAST, so they have NO excuse for NOT using their rez
I have always wanted to play an uber healer who just heals or protects the whole party, but in rpgs it is so hard to do. In table-top you usually just get used like a heal bot and in video games you not only get used as a heal and buff bot but you also have to micro like crazy. I just want to be a laid back healer who protects the party during combat and casts holy spells on undead and then heals the party afterwards. That takes a party who isn't all children like Adan described. Your support, mage, or healer (maybe a warlord instead) should be the party leader, but usually because you don't kill stuff, nobody will listen to you, until they need the heals or a revivify……
I died more as a healer than as a dps simply because I couldn't focus on dodging and heal at the same time. Scholar is my first Healer job simply because I played Arcanist.
I found it funny as my first time playing healer for a new character through the OG content and how it jumps from "eh, this is easy keeping people alive" to "OMG please slow down, my cast time is not nearly that fast to keep up with you running and aggroing 20+ enemies" XD
I mean I managed it but got damn that were hitting double digits in HP
0:18 why do i feel that BLM is pint..
I’ve started grinding healer for tomestone gear (I just want a clean inventory, it’s almost always nearly at full capacity) and the summary of my experience for 50+ dungeons is pretty much this:
panicked screaming
I’m still new to big pulls ;-;
You really are a healer Main
I don't know why but this triggered a memory of how disappointed I was with sage when it came out.
I expected a healer with a quick cast passive like the one red mage has.
Or the ability to build up a crit which can then be used for damage or for thicc shields.
And we got neither, we're still stuck with 4 healers who, despite being the main jobs that should be rezzing people, lose in that department to a red mage, who can rezz 4 people one after another before running out of mana. At the very least I expected sage to have a 1-2-3 combo, since it's the "combat healer". Bleh.
shout out to the tank in the aery who asked "3 dps?" because they would stand in aoes. you gave me 2 commendations for free
Loads into dungeon "newish healer here"
Tank sprints wall to wall no mitigation constantly breaking LoS, blames me for wipe
I have experienced this exactly in ESO.
"I CAN'T HEAL A 1HKO! Stand in the golden circles and the dragon's blight won't kill y…
No that's the boss's summoning circles. Hey! Tank, stop touching the bettles. They eat armor."
Tanking is similar in eso though.
From World of Warcraft:
If i got a penny for every warrior that that zug-zuged out of range and out of line of sight and complained about not getting heals in arena match….
I ended up healing exclusively in guild groups, be it PvP or PvE because they they knew what to do and what NOT to do. Groups of randoms were too taxing on my blood preasure so i just DPSed in pugs
My experience as a healer is this: If I have time to dps = good tank. Also gods bless Summoners and Red mages who res.
I can confirm backflip deaths are too common as a RDM 💀 sorry healers
Healing is like gambling. Most of the time, you're the babysitter, but every once in a while, just… 1 out of 50 dungeons… You get a tank who fears no god or man, pulls w2w with perfect mitigation, and then you remember why you play this role. I once had a run of Holminster so good, I'm still chasing that high months later.
Remember, if you’re a final fantasy type healer, you are still expected to deal DPS.
HEALER SHOULDNT HAVE TO DPS OMG
When you can heal the pain of others, but never your own.
tfw the tank is doing wall to wall pulls in a level 89 dungeon while still wearing level 80 gear.
as a scholar main
the lack of shields is somewhat disappointing
on the other hands… where is your bio/bio II/biolysis… that has to be on something all the time it lowers your green dps you aint healer you are green dps
and the worst offender… where is Selene… or the lesser Eos for that matter
Here's the thing, I watch lots of these videos about people who have to put up with dumb stuff from others while they themselves are healer, and I find them hilarious 😆 But I myself can't rightly say I know what it's like, because I usually don't get into situations where others are making my life hard as a healer. I guess I just get blessed ;-;
They never stock up on Mega Exiles when you need them too.
is the black mage pint?
As a healer main:
Yes.
I found you because of these videos and I absolutely love your art and humor omg
as a healer main i always end up with top aggro, its annoying but i just love playing warrior to much
I feel like this applies to any MMORPG. My SWTOR Commando feels that pain
