So I am fully agree with you on a lot of things, I dont really care that ACT was being used. I will say If people through a massive fit YOushi P came out in a Live letter and said " JUST DONT MAKE IT OBVIOUS YOUR USING A THIRD PARTY TOOL, He then when on and said Technically anyone using Discord during a raid could be banned bc Discord is a third party tool. I dont get why a lot of FF14 babies are mad about this.
I agree with not using ACT and other raid addons and abiding by the TOS, but even Yoshi P mentioned to the effect of "well isnt discord an addon?". This is causing confusion and they need to make a decision and put a line in the sand now and either enforce or not. No more of this oh middle of the road pish posh.
Xenos made a particularly good point about all this: It's awkward to ban streamers using UI mods that they… intend to add.
It's not crazy. For instance, a few days ago before this, I was intrigued by how pretty it looked , so I went and asked to help make my UI pretty. Until I realised it was third party but very complex, the next day came the TOS, I did not pursuit. I would not know this if I did not see. Twitch stream promotes it .. Correct totally agree. ToS says no. Should know the risk already (even an article in 2014 YoshiP already mentioned). QoL updates is good they are learning so we just gotta wait. About being specific I don't think they can.

we've been through this "what is a third-party program?" before with FF 11.
only 3rd party Yoshi has thumbs upped is gshade as it does nothing to the game itself. Streamers are being banned also because 4 channers are mass reporting those who use addons.
