  1. I feel like FFXVI being PS5 exclusive killed any shot they had at GotY. It's sad, but it was also a SE decision to help sell more PS5's.

Thankfully, Soken still took the Best Score award (well deserved). It's great to finally see him get the recognition he deserves outside of FFXIV. Nobody in the FFXIV community is surprised.😄

  2. Final Fantasy XIV got two nominations, but that damn Baldur's Gate 3 ran away with those awards. X(

Still, I am pleased to see a trailer for a fifth Mana game that ISN'T Dawn. As much as they tried to make a 3D Mana game for the PS1, they failed with Dawn of Mana. Visions looks like it will bring back the Mana Franchise…

Time to start platinuming the series agani! XD

  3. too bad something is wrong with PSN, nobody seems to be able to download the FFXVI DLC as of now. Reddit is on fire with hundreds, if not thousands now, of comments remarking on how nobody can download games, DLC, install stuff, etc.

  4. Final Fantasy and Fortnite being the highest rated games in their respective genres yet losing the Best Ongoing award to a half-baked game that took 3 years past release to even resemble something playable is such a joke

  5. Secret of Mana has always held a very special place in my heart so i'm beyond excited for Visions of Mana. Trials of Mana was an excellent remake but i honestly didn't expect we'd ever get a new entry in the series.

  6. I wouldn't at all agree that Square Enix stole the show. They won just a single award (best score/music) from what I heard while Larian Studios won Game of the Year in addition to about half a dozen other awards. I love Final Fantasy but you gotta give it to the team who made Baldurs Gate 3. THEY stole the show, not Square Enix.

  7. Out of everyone I was rooting for Soken the most and I am glad that he won after all hard work that he put into for FF14 and FF16 and secure at least one win for FF16. It was a pretty competitive year for gaming. Spider-Man 2 had more nominations than FF16 and surprisingly it didn’t even win one.

  8. Until they fix the ending, I'm not interested in anything FFXVI. I hate ambiguous endings. They lack resolution and just feel empty. Also, the game is just pure misery porn, so it already rubbed me wrong. Need a bit of whimsy in my fantasy.
