*This is not a spoiler as this happens in the questline before this one, but anyone who has not seen or done that one please don't continue reading*
This happened previously when you watched the people who were going to summon Hydaelyn discussing what was to happen, their leader Venat outright states meeting with the defector and that the defector refused to join her cause, Venat states that she is to become the heart of Hydaelyn, she also mentioned how it was disheartening that the defector did not join their cause… so if you are this defector you effectively stayed neutral in that conflict.
That scene was so impactful. For whatever reason, it makes me tear up a little. And I know my next statement might seem like wild speculation by a lot of people, but I feel like Hythlo is us, the player. Since we are a sundered soul ourselves, perhaps Hythlo is who we were before that happened. Not unless there is some lore(like from the Encylopedias) that I am not aware of, and I am totally wrong.
Are they destroying the world though? From their description, it was Hydaelyn that sundered the world. From their perspective, they are trying to fix it back together.
If I recall correctly during my playthrough, Hythlodeus referred to the fourteenth member as "he" if you choose a male character, so that was essentially the game giving us some character development for who the warriors of light, specifically our character, really were if I'm understanding that right. But backtracking a bit, I think curb stomping elidibus like that was really satisfying lol XD
Elidibus’s past with the two Convocation members. People surmise they are Lahabrea and Igeyorhm based on the voice and title. What do you think? And the first Warrior of Light. What do you think Elidibus did to him?
During Elidibus' little 'gauntlet', I was already disgusted with him just trying to twist the knife in us and justify it, but I had precisely one though in my mind 'til I got to the end:
"MFer if you make me fight Haurchefant I will make this PAINFUL for you."
If he'd pull that on me, I would've killed him so hard there wouldn't be a trial coming up. For any player in the game.
