There's an interesting story of Ill Mheg that you pick up in some of the quests, as well as the Tank Job Quests that are involved. But apparently the land was once called Voeburt. where the Galdjent and Drahn (Roegadyn and Au Ra of the first) lived, It was very much like Cotheras and Isgard at the time where they were a land known for noble knights. However the land was plagued by rebels using dark magic, and soon a magical plague struck the land. it turned out the Vizer of the land betrayed the people and caused chaos the details of what happened are hazy, but what we do know is that the kingdom fell and soon it became the Farie kingdom of Ill Mheg.
