FFXIV SHADOWBRINGERS 5.3 ENDING | 5.2 MSQ START

The time has come to complete FFXIV Shadowbringers’ main story quest. We are at the 50% mark of 5.2 and will push to the end of 5.3. The teasers that have been left behind are cryptic and the tension is building. With so many questions to ask, Chad Thorsen simply must walk forward and ride home to find the answers.

  1. "Yours is a long road, my friend, and it stretches on to places beyond imagining. With your every step, these grand adventures shall grow more distant and faint. And there may come a day when you forget the faces and voices of those you have met along the way. On that day, I bid you remember this…
That no matter how far your journey may take you, you stand where you stand by virtue of the road you walked to get there. For in times of hardship, when you fear you cannot go on The joy you have known, the pain you have felt, the prayers you have whispered and answered – they shall ever be your strength and your comfort.

This I hope – I believe, here at memory’s end."

  2. 1.) Azim Steppe IS in fact named after your unsundered soul/Azem. Both Cirina's grandmother & Urianger talk about it after 5.3. You weren't wrong. You're literally Magnai's god. LOL 2.) "Hear, feel, think" starshower appears at the start of ARR & 1.0 when Hydaelyn calls you. Literal since WC3 moment. Elidibus being a kid absolutely WRECKED me. As did Emet Selch helping us during the battle. But I loled so hard when you called him a her. Loved it! Also, Elidibus turning into Final Fantasy 1 Warrior of Light is the coolest callback ever.

  3. i actually broke down again at the Seto cutscene, especially when your pet dog suddenly decided to come into the stream at that exact moment……it was bittersweet seeing Seto again.

  5. To answer your question around 7:40:00, yes I am crying again. The scene with Lyna hit so hard. The father-daughter-like relationship of the two hit me so hard, and I found myself wondering what would be my last words to my own child if it came to that. When the time comes, I hope I too will have fond, shared memories I can speak of to help him remember me.

  6. I think I feel a bit out of step with the community. I enjoy FFXIV because it's a good story, but all this talk about "feels" and getting "emotionally destroyed" does not resonate with me at all. Different strokes for different folks, I suppose.

  7. That G'raha Tia and Seto scene gets me every time. I love G'raha Tia so much he just wants to go on an adventure together? Just curious when your girlfriend hugged you you told her not to watch does she play to?

  8. When you think the cutscene after the trial was the ultimate hit in the feels and then the goodbyes wring the tears from you, you didn't think you had left, while putting your heart back together… I will never stop petting every Amaro that crosses my path (Hell, I even leveled all combat jobs to 80 just to get that mount!) and G'raha accompanies me into every TRUST dungeon possible.
Godspeed for your Endwalker journey, Chad. I'm sure your beautiful fiancée and your pets will have your back through all the heartache, rage and joy to come. ❤

  9. I USED to feel if the game ended at the end of shadowbringers it would be fine.

Not after playing Endwalkers. This expansion is child's play compared to the life changing capacity of Endwalkers.

  10. A ten and a half hour stream, you absolute lunatic! Lol. You're a ShB Andy now. It happens to (almost) all of us. I mean, paranoia and existential dread aside,it's not so bad here.

Glad I caught the last half live!
