  1. Really sad you didn't bring up the Red Chocobo Calamity in the Ivalice section. Before you could go to Ridorana you had to do a few quests. One of which involved fighting and defeating a Red Chocobo. The chocobo could use Choco Meteor which had a relatively quick cast and did a respectable damage and giving a vuln up. The problem came when EVERYONE was doing the quest at the same time to get to the raid so there could be like a dozen chocobos dropping meteors. It was a massacre that spawned many memes that eventually came full circle when Red Comet was added to Bozja, a Red Chocobo boss that spams a ton of meteors.

  2. I really liked pagos as a whole, BUT. For someone who farmed all 15 relics, pagos took the longest because of the light farm. As much as i think having a more challenging zone was fun, the sheer ammount of time i had to spend there before i got my last relic upgraded and could move to pyros, it took a lot of fun out of the whole experience 🥲

  3. Personally (as someone who didn't start playing FF14 until 6.0), I have a bit of a soft spot for Pagos. Sure, it is still my least favourite Eureka zone (only second least favourite Exploration zone because BSF is 60% of the reason why I prefer Eureka to Bozja), but playing there is just weirdly relaxing to me.

  4. Frontlines rotation was sorely needed (and still is). Without it, only the fastest (and therefore most efficient for farming exp) map pops. Back then it was Shatter so you could not play any mode except Shatter. Even if they made the other modes more fun, one will always be the best exp/hour and so MMO players will only pick that one.

  5. finishing pagos and getting my relic weapon upgraded there before it was nerfed was probably the 2nd hardest and most grueling thing i've ever accomplished in ff14, what is 1st? well i'll get to that wehn we get to the right patch number, wonder if any of you can guess.

  6. I remember "Greed Only" rules for loot in Alliance Raids being introduced alongside the Lighthouse, where in they got rid of the ability to select Need.

I have never seen the community unite against something the devs did faster than that, even Pagos was more welcome than that.
