  2. The thing with original astro. There still really was no choice. You where always going for the balance and anything less felt bad. Xiv is all about damage damage damage. Tanks: how can I maximize my dps well doing the minimum to stay alive. Healers: how can I maximize my dps well keeping the party alive.

  3. You said multiple times that Summoner needs to be fixed
It's been a while since I took a look but wasnt Summoner like on the Top of Raiding next to Blackmage in the DD role?

  4. I decorated my house once. Unless they make the housing interface much nicer, I’m never doing that again. I didn’t even bother with glitches and decorating gave me a headache.

  5. to be fair they could be saving the instance housing reveal for fanfest because that's a fanfest level reveal/hype train (yes I am setting myself up for disappointment lmao)

  6. If we're thinking that this new melee DPS will be sharing armor sets with DRG, a scythe wielder seems rather unlikely to me.

The twins' father has an in-game model as we could see in the encyclopedia, so I think it's almost impossible to not bring him into the MSQ at some point, and what better time than in 6.0. Unless perhaps, they're saving Sharlayan for their new story that will be starting with the patches.

I absolutely love your joy for the new raids, FusionX, and my feelings pretty much mirror yours exactly. I have zero interest in Nier and really wanted a nice original story. But I think unlike for you, Eden did not disappoint me at all, I'm still really happy with the way it was wrapped up. Also, Rook, I agree with you about the integration of the 24-man raids making FFXIV as a whole stronger. Everything feels more connected and relevant, both the MSQ and the raids become more interesting to play through. This was one of the reasons that I was so happy to see tiny parts of Eden voiced. I only wish there had been more, but I can understand why they would limit voice acting in what is essentially side content.

An argument can be made for Lue-Reeq's role quest series being the strongest rather than the weakest. After all, Reeq is a kid who comes from a rich family and starts off thinking he can buy pretty much anything, but by the end he's grown into a much more responsible person and capable fighter, and we also see his kinder side when he's with Olvara. I feel like the tank and melee DPS role quest series have been the most quietly horrifying of the four because of the innocents who get involved, whether accidentally or through their own attempts to stop the Virtues, and we see them be turned into sin eaters. Those two had much more of an impact on me for that very reason. Similarly, I felt that their stories, similar in their themes of revenge, felt more poignant to me than the other two's.

I've said it before: the only way to fix housing is to place a limit of one house per account, not per character and FC. And if they don't also make it so that one person, regardless of the number of accounts they have, can only own one house, they will always get people who will take advantage of loopholes to be greedy. And they need to enforce the rules very strictly once they're made, not let any one person get away with owning entire wards or mini neighborhoods in a ward.

I'm not a huge fan of the collective trials mount myself. I mean sure, it doesn't look bad, but it's true that none of the other mounts are mechanized, which this one very much looks to be. Then again, I suppose we already have a ton of dragons in-game, including a white and gold one, so how would they have made this one stand out? Either way, I don't see us getting this one from the minstrel. It seems more like something Cid might have made us as a souvenir of our adventures on the First.

I don't really agree that people are justified in feeling frustrated. Anytime they've taken something away, it's been to replace it with either an improved version later (like with Gangos) or other content that people have also wanted (like more savages and ultimates). And that's not even mentioning how much more fluid the animation is in Shadowbringers than in previous expansions, as well as the absolutely amazing lore rich story that the MSQ has provided us with this time around. The Eden raid has also been amazing, especially with the few voiced lines we've gotten, and they've given a large portion of players something they really wanted with Nier as the 24-man raid series. I really don't think there's room to complain here. You can't always get everything you want and you should be happy with what you are given that you do love. There's a point where it comes off as ungrateful to keep criticizing everything that comes out. I don't enjoy some of the content myself, like Nier and the entirety of Werlyt, but I've been more than happy with everything else that's come out.

My personal top highlights from this trailer were definitely the MSQ and the two raid series, not to mention the CGI twins in that beautiful trailer, and later hearing Emet-Selch's (Japanese) voice in it. I'm very much a fan of the Data Center Travel and found Sage's aesthetic to be quite beautiful, and I'm admittedly rather thrilled that we're staying with role quests and not going back to job quests. And sorry Aldianaux, but since I absolutely hated the thought of going to Garlemald in 6.0, I felt a little thrill at seeing the destroyed map.

  7. I really hope we get Ran'jit-esque spiritbonded job and I think we will see it through Estinien – we seen him transform into something different when he "melded" with Nidhogg for Archultima fight and him refining his connection after he has gone away during MSQ would make sense and could end up somewhere around Ran'jit type of job? Especially sharing maiming gear
    Here is me hoping

  8. what is a DPS healer? all healers are DPS like how every class is a DPS. some are better than others in some aspects but all healers are good when it comes to DPS.
