  2. Part of why I don't like WoW is how toxic the community is, and it's been even worse after stuff added like mythic dungeons that really encourage it to an extreme degree with how it works. I've played several MMOs since starting in 2001 in EQ and WoW's community is hands down the worst in my experience.

  3. "i wouldn't be surprised if they stole some elements of FFXIV into WoW…" Made me chuckle cause that's pretty much what people loved about Blizzard in the earlier days. They'd take ideas, concepts and even mechanics done in other games, and make them better. (Something they seriously began slacking on in recent years.)
    While it's still a bit early to tell (usually takes a patch or two), it does seem like Dragonflight's design is heading back to those days. Many will be happy if they do, but there will also be many who won't be surprised if they don't.

    If you do decide to ever give it a try, my best advice is to begin with friends, and play with those you trust. The bad rep of the community mostly comes from PuGs in the auto-grouping who know that the chances of seeing these same people again is slim. (An advantage of *many* people playing a game; Room to hide.). When everyone was forced to only play with those on their own servers, there was less toxicity (no game is witrhout it completely) cause the server would know within hours if someone was an arse. XD

    Some of my best times in the game where with the guilds (WoW's version of Free Company's) I was in, and the people in them. 🙂 And you certainly have the community that would help you make it fun for you too. <3
