    I started CC as Scholar and so quickly switched to Whitemage, because why even bother to play another healer job?
    It's so sad, because Scholar tooltips sounded so interesting the first time, but there rarely is a chance I could fully utilize the kit, because it's so reliant on the team performing well, when buffed and basically given a second life.

  2. sir, dragoon is a ranged pbysical dps in pvp.

    samurais limit break is most frustrating because it doesnt help even if you avoid hitting them because so many abilities have aoe. also generally pretty hard to see them put up chiten in the heat of the moment.

  3. Silencing in PvP reminds me of Sombra hacking from Overwatch. You can either completely waste it or get someone killed really fast depending on who you target and when you time it.

    But boy if you time it right you can get an enemy warrior killed really fast and it makes things really easy for your team.

  4. Only issue with using a tier class for all jobs is you don't go into weaknesses.

    For example I mained dragoon getting stunned and bind constantly with no way to counter that makes you a massive target when other team consists 4 members who can stun etc

  5. I like how monk plays and even though im just a Silver im doing alright and thats all I need. Once I get to lv 90 ill probably work on something else thats needs leveling and this is a nice list to get info.

  6. Yeah Black Mage is exactly as you said it's become my main job and if no one picks you out you hurt a lot. The highest damage I've gone its 1.2mil+ though averaging 800k+. Though If and enemy tank, melee, rdm, basically if anyone singles you out it becomes a rough game and not nearly as fun. One time I got a little too close to try and sleep the enemy whm and Just got instantly deleted by the sam and rdm that dashed to me.

  7. you got the wrong idea on reaper, reaper has good basic skills but he's limit break is just so bad compared to the other melee classes and I believe pvp is centered around who used he's limit break better or stronger like samurai ninja dragoon

  8. Can't believe I agreed with a tier list in its entirety.

    Mostly playing as SMN because I don't feel as guilty compared to playing RDM. Except when I lose stars in a row lmao

  9. People who are aware of how broken WHM and RDM are but still choose to play them are kind of shitty people. They're the people who feel good about beating a kid's game on very easy difficulty.

  10. As a SAM main playing frontline. I spend 90% of my matches running around as a minion mascot cheering on my team everytime an enemy WHM targets me. Its funny as hell sometimes I will get zantetsuken off just before I'm transformed and then everyone dies by a plushy toy

  11. Super thoughtful rankings and detailed explanations, thank you for this insight. Even when I kneejerk disagreed, you ended up convincing me, I think this tier list is rock solid.

    My heart broke when you said gunbreaker "doesn't deserve the blue", it's so true. They gotta turn in their tank badge when samurai is more tanky… My solution would be to replace it's locked Continuation button with a Bow Shock that gives it barrier, as well as a much-needed AoE attack and DoT. It would also give them barrier outside of depending on enemy composition having a tank to Draw/Junction off of. If they want to keep Draw/Junction, they should at least let you do it off yourself and teammates like blue mage's Aetherial Mimickry, just to lessen the luck aspect at least a little bit…

    Black mage's Burst should be instant for instant shield like Radiant Aegis, probably a ranged attack like Thunder, and Aetherial Manipulation/Swiftcast should guarantee a Flare or Freeze, maybe

  12. I still feel it's very early for us to really gauge what is or isn't super strong. Even now that it's a week since we got it, there are a lot of tricks and nuance we've not figured out yet. It's a good list but the best thing about it all is it comes from our own experience and what we've faced too in our climbs.

I think that the more time goes on, the more we can see that PvP Balance was probably made by two different people, both adjusting their own set of jobs, but never talking between each other to see if they are balancing around the same target. This would explain why the "bad" jobs are kinda good when paired against each others, and the "good" jobs are balanced between them. But there clearly was a communication issue somewhere which could explain this disparity.

  14. You forgot the insta heal on rdm lol . Love playing rdm. Sometimes the othet team gangs on me and then i kill them with lb. Or if we are close to the end i lb and game is over

  15. In gold and I'm starting to find a lot if success with dancer, I wish it had more CC since if my team falls apart so does the dancer. I also love how you have to keep mobile to maximise your dps makes it less likely to get focused but when you're left alone the AoE dmg really and I mean REALLY piles up.

  16. Yeah DRG's limit break talk really got me. Just went through a game today where a DRG on the enemy team did terribly the entire game, got focused/neutered by CC all game, executed terribly, but during overtime, they got a paired LB with their AST and just got 4 out of 5 kills on the crystal, 100-0 to our entire team. Frustrating as all hell, would like it to be a solid black and red puddle with a solid line indicator, rather than light blue just so it's visible on any given floor type.

  17. *Sad BLM & Reaper noises* . I started out as Reaper for pvp and found that everything just took too long to build up for decent dps and the LB just feels super flat. It's not worth having a super fast LB build-up when it doesn't feel good or do enough damage to do anything impactful. I then switch to BLM and was doing semi better but the Struggle is definitely real. BLM damage also takes too long to build up and their LB takes a lot of time for it to pay off. I just started using Blizzard spells instead of heavy dots because Fire ones weren't paying off anymore in higher ranked matches. On top that, you start glowing super purple for LBs like a light house and having the entire enemy team turn on you & get deleted before anything gets done. Sucks that my two favorite jobs are in such a terrible state.

  18. It'll never happen but after playing some GNB in PVP it got me thinking – what if we had BLU in PVP and it worked in a similar way? Junction functions kinda similarly to Aetherial Mimicry, allowing you to change your "role" based on enemy comp and your spells could shift based on your mimicry to have different effects. Could even make their LB the three role specific spells in mantra magic, angel snack and dragon force. As I said, it'll never happen but I think it could work now that jobs are completely different in PVP, what's stopping them making a PVP variant of BLU that only has access to a few of its spells rather than the entire book?

  19. One of the mains issues of Sage is how its limit break is very unreliable.
    Apprently theres some issues where the placement is unsynched between players, resulting in them not getting Lype despite standing in it right next to you on your screen. I definetly felt that while playing it. It wouldnt be a massive issue is the lb would charge faster, but as of now you wait half the game for a limit break thats game changing just for it to do nothing because you either get polymorphed instantly or its effect is not applied correctly. Sage is amazing in pvp and you can definetly win without the limit break thanks to its kit, but man it feels bad

  20. Warrior is one case where I would like to see the other tanks buffed up to its level, rather than Warrior getting any nerfs. Warrior is basically what a PvP tank needs to be. A big bully with battlefield control who is hard to put down. Paladins work as the defensive version of this, focused on protecting their team rather than disrupting the enemy one. DRK has an AoE bind, so they have a bit of that going on, but GNB really needs some battlefield disruption.

    I used to play Heroes of the Storm, which had a tank role, and basically the entire time I played that game, which was for years, Muradin was a top tier tank. But Muradin was not that special, his kit was just like Warrior in that it was everything you wanted out of a PvP tank. It wasn't until they began buffing other tanks to his level and making tanks who could fill his niche that you began seeing some variety.

  21. I wouldn't agree with monk ranking, they are crazy if played right, i have seen a few that were 1v5 and winning, which is crazy, they just go in and destroy people one by one

  22. Gosh man, literally everything you’ve said is exactly how I feel towards all of those jobs. Glad to hear I’m not the only one feeling this way.

    Also as a hard Sage main, it felt real cathartic to hear you fume about polymorph, because Good God I feel that frustration on a spiritual level. I also have other complaints about White Mage, but you’ve already said a fair bit of those lol. Awesome takes!

  23. Ninjas are definitely S Tier. They can get in and get out of danger, they don't necessarily need to stick to a target, just poke from a distance, then poke point blank when Mug is off CD to lower shuriken's CD while inflicting increased damage taken to the enemy. Plus Ninjas have 2 protection tools at their disposal that allows them to soak damage more than they should if they need to stand their ground. Huton gives a shield, and increases movement speed, Mesui gives regen. They can do so much but also require effort to pull it off.

    Also, Doton is really good. It's basically an AoE you can use if you need to defend the crystal since it triggers additional damage whenever you are triggering an action. Oh not the mention the LB, no need to further elaborate on that.

  24. Before even watching the video, I am 100% confident that he will put GNB into F tier or lowest tier. Been playing GNB a lot and the class is outclassed by everything in a pvp where Crowd Control dominates everything, and you have nearly no CC when the enemy has all the CC against you. Playing GNB feels like savage difficulty turned on.

  25. My Totally Legit And Viable Strategy as DNC is to just run around with En Avant as much as possible. It confuses people into running away sometimes, and if it doesn't, I activate The Beeg Speen.

  26. im firmly in the camp of not nerfing the top end jobs currently! pvp is still young and there is still a lot of room for players to improve and learn more about the inner workings of how specific jobs work! While it is frustrating at times to play against samurai, their effectiveness, at least in crystal tier, has begun to already slow down! same with dragoon (people learning when to cc burst down sam/not touch them or guarding up a drg limit break). Meanwhile, I'm starting to see a lot more monks as a backline disruptor that is super sticky and hard to kill. Not to mention their meteodive being a great kill secure ability.

  27. Nobody need nerf, job who is lacking need buff !
    Change LB of RPR to straight damage + fear, enshroud on cd + a skill which reduce cd on it and remove cast time.

  28. the fact that polymorph can cancel ANYTHING is really frustration to me especially when enemy WHM is really good

    like you can try setup LB for ages and when you pull the trigger , boom get poly lol say goodbye to your LB gauge fam
