  1. Welcome to ff14, I came over from wow a couple of months ago. I love the story in ff14 and have just finished shadowbringers. 🙂 To start with I struggled with the gameplay but you soon get used to it. It does get a lot better after arr. 🙂

  2. Wish someone on the staff would've informed him more about the GCD. By midway through leveling and especially at max level every class is basically wishing the GCD was even longer because there's so many oGCD spells. Rotations in this game are often significantly more complex and higher APM than any spec in WoW has ever had but because people spread so much misinformation its led to new players thinking the GCD is an issue.

He thought being a BLM would allow him to dodge the 'slow' combat but ended up picking the slowest and arguably least interesting class.

  3. First thing I did when I started playing was changing A and D to strafe left/right. It feels wrong otherwise… That also means you free Q and E as keybinds to use your abilities (which usually are followed by R, T and F for a lot of players)

  4. Welcome to the world of mutes where nothing and no one makes any sound . Immerse yourself in a world in which trees wind rain and enemies are all mute or maybe players are deaf. For real everything is cartoonish and goofy .

  5. FF14 is one of the few games I have ever seen where leaving "backwards" bound can be good. I do not know if it requires legacy controls to be enabled or not, but if you "back pedal" in FF14, you do not actually back pedal. You just turn a 180 and haul ass away from your current position.
