FFXIV – P5S Devour/Bite True Braindead Spot

This method can be done from same spot and timing on both pattern. You don’t have to care weather it’s zigzag or circle. Only important things is the first jump and you’ll be one quadrant counterclockwise from the first bite. In this vid first jump is to marker 3 so I start maneuvering at marker 2.

  1. Loving this, used it yday for my clear
This is a fantastic video for showing it off – you want to mimic this sprint timing and how far you're going on the intercardinals, and mirror the timing shown (Move the MOMENT the 2nd, 4th, 6th aoes disappear)
For people trying it, timing is a little tight
On high ping, without 'magic', I'm not sure how likely you are to get clipped, but the key is move the MOMENT circle disappears. If you prefer audio cues, you want to be settled in your new position around the same time you're hearing the 'boom' from the jump, just like the vid
Don't try to adjust left/right, I've found it actually just causes more issues, straight line

  2. This is how my group did it. Even though this is technically a little tighter than the other strats, I prefer always doing the same movements to recognizing which pattern it is and going from there. I would say that if you have high ping this can be risky, otherwise not too bad.

  3. This one is riskier, you have to actually see the jump and memorize it. Other strat only see the inital start position and zigzag/circle pattern, then you know your what's your next move.

  4. This is not a braindead spot this is a ping spot.
Chances are, you're gonna get hit by the 2nd or 3rd jump without the yellow circle ever being on you because of snapshotting
