  1. Stuff like this makes me worried that in the future it'll be a it will be a lot less clear on who's a bot and who's not. If an AI can transcribe a video, take the text as a prompt, and generate a meaningful comment that's not "I'm better than penguinz0!", the future of the internet looks even more bleak than it already is. I wouldn't be surprised if "botfishing" is the next step after "catfishing" for online dating, gaming bots for gold farming will be able to respond… the possibilities are truly terrifying for any company that finds a way to monetize pretending to be a person. These things already happen at a ridiculously high rate, and it's only a matter of time before it's nearly impossible to determine who's a bot and who's not. Maybe I'm a bot.

I think linking internet accounts to ID is a necessary next step, but that comes with it's own scary bits :0. What do y'all think?

  3. "others may prefer world of warcraft for it's expansive world and rich history".
So.. they prefer the game mostly for what it was and not what it is now, sounds accurate.

  4. Yeah, that particular AI is shaking the World atm. not only can it make answers like this, it can:

    – do follow up questions
    – ask for more additional information
    – understands ethical problems
    – take into consideration ambiguous subjective topic (like in this one)
    – work with incomplete information to fill in the gaps, and warns that it is doing this since the question is not specific enough, or it depends on unknown variables
    – project the conversation towards future questions/answers.
    – structure the answers in logical order with great flow. Seriously, it makes better tutorials than humans do
    – and most amazingly, it can actually program, analyze code, refactor code, find problems and errors in fuzzy scenarios, where the problems are possible, but not apparent from the code. And the code it does is better than 99% of programmers out there
    – it can write stories, jokes and seems to understand complex nuance differences of words
    – it can even write limericks, songs, poems etc. but its not that great at rhyming consistently enough for rap
    – It writes better emails based on topic and given short description what the email should be about. It will then leave [your name here] type of fields, where you should fill in the missing information required. And it does this better than most office workers, and can even and edit the messages based on requested formality/politeness levels

So yeah, this AI is on a whole another level compared to anything else we have seen so far, and the whole programming World is actually in a sort of crisis due to the paradigm shift this will enable.

It will make most of grunt-work level programming jobs obsolete (that is actually most of them), but at the same time will super-boost creative and design focused programmers

  5. the a.i seems better until it takes control , goes crazy deems it needs to make spoons forever and does eveything in its power to make more and more spoons, until humans are in the way of making more spoons, so it removes us to make more spoons, and then makes drones to travel the galaxys to spread spoons into the galaxy no matter what the cost.

  6. Wow is better but I could never get in to it. I did casually get in to FFXIV though but that's because the JRPG style bosses are really awesome. Professions are better in FFXIV. Better QoL features. Beautiful graphics, too.

But both of them suffer from having no point to the endgame. I'm of the belief that if there is no pvp, economy, or politics then it's not an MMO. Pvp, roleplay, and drama is what makes endgame.
