  3. I missed the GE proton step, I've been using proton experimental and it runs pretty good. I'll install GE proton to see if it is any better.

    I just used xivlaunchers guide and they did not include that step

    I have been using the custom launcher you can find in discovery.

    I find the addon that adds text bubble makes it easier to chat with users because the chat box is so small.

    I do not use anything that would alter the game other than this because it find it’s required for the deck.

    I’ve been enjoying this device for FF14 I find that a few things can be adjusted.

    Set the video to 800 vs 720 to fill the screen gap.

    The best portable settings I have are 40hz / 40 FPS /10w limit / no FSR I can play for around 2/3 hours. Graphics laptop normal go into settings and lock final fantasy at 60fps or it will bug out.

    The best docked or powered setup is 60hz / no limit FPS / no limit on TDP / FSR on graphics laptop high. FF14 set to no limit.

    The custom launcher is a little easier to mess with but I appreciate doing this the hard way.

    This broke for me with a patch and I had to do it all over again so after the last patch I went the launcher to save me time.

  6. Great guide! Supposedly Proton Experimental works with the new launcher now (my Deck should be getting here today, will definitely be testing this) and I would imagine the latest Proton-GEs should have the same mshtml fixes to make the new launcher work. I know the previous launcher is still working, for now, but who knows for how much longer.

    I've also considered the custom launcher, but with the current crackdown on mods (even if I don't actually plan to use any and just want it so as not to have to faff about with the normal launcher, boot config, etc.) I think it prudent to wait and see.

  8. Hey man great video but I have a problem in that I don't have a "My Games" folder. Yes I have the game installed. Not sure why it's not there.

I don't know what to do, it keeps telling me "This service account does not have a valid FINAL FANTASY XIV license for this platform or your subscription has expired" after I enter in my username/password. Then it gives a link to the Mog Station and on the mog station it says my account type is Standard (Steam), and that I do have a subscription (I just bought the base game). I log in completely fine on my PC through Steam, so I don't know what the problem is.
