In This FFXIV New Healer Guide I wanted to cover my top FFXIV Healing Tips for new healers.

Healing in FFXIV can be a challenge for new players, there are lots of things FF14 do differently to other MMOs and healing doesn’t work the same. So I wanted to give my top 5 tips for new healers that can help you if you’re new or starting out as a healer.

This is my top tips for new healers, but I’d love to hear yours in the comments. Learning to heal in FF14 is a constant job so hopefully people can share some helpful tips!

  1. Here is a White Mage tip!

    As soon as you get Cure 2,toss cure 1 into the deepest darkest hotbar because it's only useful for low level content.

    If you were going to use Cure 1,use your damage spell instead.

  2. I have a couple of tips, or more precisely, additions to those presented in the video:

    1: The spells that are not on the global cooldown are called 'abilities' in game. You can look at the tooltip of the skill and it will say either 'weaponskill', 'spell', or 'ability'. Abilities can be used outside the global cooldown.

    2: You can queue up an ability while casting a spell, the ability will then go off instantly after the cast finishes. This is especially useful for some jobs, like Astrologian. You can start casting a spell, target a party member, use your ability on them, like an astrologian card, then target the enemy, or whoever, again before your cast even finishes.
