  1. These fights are really fun. Tanking the third turn is genuinely scary tho, also the uptime movement is tricky to memorize but pretty satisfying since you don't lose damage on the fireplumes

  2. look the 3rd fight is fun. It's just too orange. So very orange. Someone please get the third encounter designer a color palette. Could have used some cyan hues from our coils phoenix. Otherwise, solid job

  3. I actually really disliked the aesthetic and sound of this Raid tier, but i'm a big FF fan and having 4 fights of no iconic monsters or music is kind of disappointing for me. First 3 fights music is repetitive and part two of p4s doesn't even have new music. Idk man, just didn't hit me in the right ways that Eden and Omega did

  4. I'm not sure if others are having the same issue, but numbers above your head are hard to see on console especially if you have your name on and stack markers, I need to tilt my camera all the way down and look at my character upward to see it properly.

  5. I'm up at P3S Enrage atm and so far these fights are good! 1 is a solid entry fight, 2 is decently challenging second fight, P3S… holy hell. P4S looks like it's gonna be a blast to prog. My two gripes w this tier so far is that 2 suffers from a lack of phase delineation that the rest of the fights don't have and 3 hugely suffers from a visual / color design. Apart from those two I love it so far!

  6. This is probably the most ive enjoyed a tier since Creator, especially as a Healer.
Omega was fine, but REALLY hit or miss, it had some really underwhelming bosses, Eden was more consistent but still some meh ones

I enjoy all these fights, and theyre really well paced. But these are the most fun/satisfying/frustrating/engaging fights ive had to heal in a long time.
Its such a breath of fresh air, from Eden, where it was really kinda dull. This tier isnt afraid to just hit the party really hard and over and over, and it makes planned mitigation and healing somuch more fun.

It helps when all the healer are so well balanced as well, minor gameplay gripes aside eg AST card gameplay, WHM mp ect

  7. I’ve only reached to P3S but gotta say these fights so far are super fun and engaging. It takes practice and focus but once you recognize and adjust to the mechanics it starts to feel second nature

  8. The fights are really fun. I just wish that the difficulty grouth was more linear. The diference of the 2nd and 3rd Boss is orders of magnitude greater then the difference from the 1st and 2nd. As it is now, the 1st boss prepares you well for what is comming on the 2nd, but the 2nd no way prepares you for the 3rd. Also the 3rd fight could have a better choice for tells and arena, since everything is red and Orange on top of red and orange

  9. I am stuck on P2S =o=. The dps check is just too tight for pugs right now and I have seen 12 enrages over the span on 3 days and only once did the party go down to 2%. Any tips as a sage who’s already dpsing as much as raid buster mechanics allow? Would using pots for a single healer be able to push ~5%?

  10. had this healer duo in the second fight they were greeding so hard we wiped like 3 times cus of lack of heals ive only cleared the first 2 fights yet and they are fun for sure im always hesitant with the last 2 fights

  11. My only issue with Savage these days is that they are too formulaic. I remember when I saw E6s might have us fighting both Garuda and Ifrit at the same time (Council boss as some WoW raiders may know it), how excited I was, but that was shortly lived as that was just a small phase in the fight. I just wish they get out of their comfort zone with Savage fights. They are just so boring these days.

  12. I've hated this tier. Not because of the raids, but because of PF nightmares. There's always that one person that ruins it for us all. Always. I really hate savage raiding, but I'm really damn good at it and do it for the glam. But this tier there just seems to be more super casuals jumping into the tier and refusing to learn mechs and ignoring PF descriptions. I don't have time for statics because I have a job and classes. I think I'll just check out of the tier until the new player hype dies down and new, casual players just trying savage for the hell of it realize they're not cut out for savage raiding and move onto something else. I've had many PF parties where I'm carrying them because they've ignored the "SHINING 2 PROG TO CLEAR" right in the front of the pf description. Had someone come in to a clear party for p1s and admit they don't know the mechs after wiping us to the first mechanic multiple times.

  13. Party finder made me realize why Square enix gets away with so little content. When reading a timer and remembering a spot is already too hard for people and keeps them occupied for a month it's no surprise.

  14. Always hilarious to me that a HEALER would prefer to be doing damage than actually healing. To the point these mechanics that aren't that difficult to heal, but are difficult because you optimize it for maximum oGCD and such and it's hard for a fight that always throws damage at you upsets people. People like that are the reason healing has always been a snoozefest in this game.

Fun tier overall, pretty difficult to pug 3/4.

  15. Enjoyed the tier. The third turn's arena definitely needs some work. Visually it's a cluster, and though it might have been my favorite fight mechanically, it was not my favorite to prog because of how everything is the same color. Also, SE needs to desperately fix the numerals they use in the overhead markings. Blue/purple on p2s are impossible to distinguish as a colorblind person, and 1-8 on p3s are just inconsistent. 6, for example is two groups of 3 instead of a group of 4 and a group of 2, while 5, 7, and 8 all have a group of 4. This is not how a tally system works.
Also, this has nothing to do with AS itself, but dancer :/

  16. I’ve only done the first 2 fights so far but from what I’ve heard of friends trying to pf the third, it’s an abysmal experience, just like the struggles I had with the second. As soon as my static’s leader is able to catch up because of school and queues keeping her out of being able to finish the msq, I’m excited to finally get to these later fights.

  17. PFing P3S has been a nightmare. You have to deliver an entire dissertation at the start of every party about who's going which direction for which mechanic, who's got which fountains, are we doing elmo/myta, TH left or right, etc., etc. And all it takes is for one person to not remember every one of those things and we wipe 8 minutes into the fight. I think I would enjoy the fight a lot more if I had a static so we don't have to re-establish everything every time we zone into the instance.

  18. I have to say it and I will get loads of dislikes for it:
I dislike that there was no way to "comfy" enter the savage tier in PF. With "comfy" I mean: 570 left side tomestone gear + 580 EX Trial accessories and Weapons. You do need to upgrade large parts of your left side gear with normal mode and crafted gear to be able to beat the DPS checks "comfortably". I do not mean "overmelding 11 pieces" … but I do mean that you have to take care of your equipment. And yes I do say I would have enjoyed the first 2 – 3 bosses more if that would have been possible, simply because it allows you to not bind yourself to a role or gearset. A new player static would have it so much easier to enter the savage raid community if they would not have had to dedicate their initial setup to something. PF would be so much less toxic if the first bosses died a little bit earlier. It is a tiny complaint. Nothing you yourself can not easily resolve. Nothing you yourself have not brought upon yourself. But I am a fan of mechanical mastery. And if mechanical mastery (by myself, I do not want to expect it from everyone in the group) is not enough … aah it frustrates me.

  19. Ive been having a blast with this tier

Probably my favorite savage tier since…..Alphascape tbh

Also ANCIENT SHACKLES IS SUCH A BANGER THEME FOR THE FIRST THREE FIGHTS

  20. Healers have never been as bad as they have been in this tier. I have never seen so many ego maniac healers that refuse to heal or chad the hell out of their co healer. Makes me want to drop dps and tank and become a full time healer main. But that would mean I have to deal with the chads.

  21. Honestly might be my favorite tier. I think the third fight does that for me as I e11s was the only third fight I enjoyed in ShB. Titan is still my favorite Savage fight without a doubt, but all the fights this tier I would likely place pretty high on my list of fights done when current (which is only ShB prior to this). That overall leaves this tier very high up on my list, if not my favorite tier. Will have to do the 8 weeks of reclears first before I can for sure say its my favorite, but its on a good track thus far.

Edit 1: It is kind of funny p1s was our second hardest reclear only behind p4s phase 2. And we practiced all of them after our initial clear. Cannot say I would have expected the first fight of a new expansion to give us more trouble but it did (not that it took long, we just happened to one or two shot p2 and p3).

Edit 2: This is also the first time I was not like ugh when my static wanted to do early parse runs. The fights were just fun enough I did not care I did not get the week 1 wep, I was happy to do them again. Could not say that about the last two tiers and first tier I did not have a static.

  22. Everyone talking p3 being somewhat terrible bc its not fun and it's hell sometimes. But p3 also has destroyed several statics because p3 requires, coordination, learning speed, and dps. If your doing week one you know how rough that is. Because to qualify for p4, you need to do p3. Which honestly was smart.

  23. P3S in PF is honestly complete hell. Killed it twice now in PF, but im at around a total of 230ish wipes across the 2 weeks with many of thoose being 5-15 percent enrage pulls. I dont know what it is about this fight, but it is absolutely horrible to pug it. I personally dislike it aswell, even as a tank, tethers in this game is not enjoyable to play with it is way too unresponsive and it feels like i cant improve my gameplay to counteract it, it feels really bad. I think i would enjoy the strict movement the fight requires in a static like you said and minmax it with comms, but man even just zoning into the fight with a PF is a new experience every time and there is so many things people have to remember, and this is one of those type of fights where on alot of mechanics if 1 person is not alive for it, it can verry quickly cause a wipe. Perhaps with time and when a single strat has been choosen and everyone will be on the same page for it in PF my opinion might go up about the fight abit, but here for week 1 and 2. It has been awful
