I’m new to the game and started a month ago and haven’t tried pvp until a couple days ago. The fact that skills are completely different from the regular content in the game is so off putting for a new player like me. I already spent a shit ton of time trying to learn all these jobs and classes just to have to do it again for pvp is pretty off putting and I probably won’t touch pvp unless I absolutely have to.
All of the best games have the option “Fishing” 😂😂

Hey, I'll have you know I play PvP every day. It's for my dailies and I regret every second while playing it, but I play it every day.
FFXIV combat is 20 years behind, also lack of good 3v3/5v5 PvP map like Heavens Arena from the King Avatar, no chat bubbles, no small font option, no frontline pop out a notification, no blue mage in PVP, most mounts are pay to win, no alternatives to story leveling, u should combine PvE with PvP elements. just imagine open-world raid bosses her players and guild fight for them to get epic mounts. u could also get gear tokens out of them it would be 1 way for newer players to get gear or levels instead of story leveling. mybe u should at least make the combat hybrid action so u add some skill shots and dodges…tab targeting MMOs are the thing of the pay. true action combat games like Smite and Arena are the feature. watch the Kings Avatar animation. so yea basically this game is being held back by a lack of PVP and social updates. also open world pvp events, mybe make PVP minigame like the fist of Guthix from RS….
It's mostly WoW players who do pvp, too. You can tell by how aggressive they get in the chat lol

The level 60 PVP gear is actually a pretty useful set. Even if I don't care for it all that much. Then again, I don't really like any MMO PVP since I have crap internet.

Glams are true endgame. PvP for glams means FF14 has some of the most end game relevant pvp content out there!

Tbh the pvp is pretty bad but i feel its not as bad as most people claimed.
Most people didt even tried the pvp and made assumptions.
The pvp is more like no one person can make all the difference is why it felt so lackluster.
But that also meant everyone had to take part to really win the game. That also meant people need to invest time to learn the pvp combos or knocking people off edges or with objective to go to and how to lead people to win.
If everyone is a sheep and just follow and dont want to learn just because "ff14 pvp" is bad, then ff14 pvp will never improve.
I've done A LOT of PvP for the glams. Feel kinda bad that some of the absolute coolest looking stuff is behind The Feast, unfortunately. And that takes a lot more effort than just doing PvP…
