I cant believe theyre making the Magitek Predator and Ixion obtainable after ive JUST spent ages farming for them the regular way

Not sure if worth mentioning, but for the Kamuy Fifes, the Reveling Kamuy is AFAIK impossible to solo even on lvl 90 because of the "Rules of Nature" phase. But should be an easy farm with just one or two mates. 30 tomes isn't much so if you're someone who avoids doing extreme content with others even unsynced then by all means, get the mount with the tomes.

I wanted to mention that you cannot do the trial for the revelry kamuy just solo…. Susano requires you to have at least 2 people unsynced because of a mechanic that will one shot you otherwise. if you have anxiety or dont want to deal with other people for whatever reason, this is a good one to get.
I hate these moogle trove events lol S o glad there's only a handful of things I want, sort of. I skipped it the last couple of times so might try this…appreciate the detailed info on the trade ins.

MGP is priority over all potential gil from market items which price will fall for months at least. If something cool drop with mgp price tag (big one if it's cool) in the future you can't accumulate it as easy as gil.
I think Megalotragus is probably the only thing worth it this time. And obviously the earrings for collection purposes.

The Prometheus and Byakko Triple Triad cards are a must if you don't have it. They're super cheap tome-wise and getting them from the trial or dungeon can be time consuming. They are also part of getting the rare Triple Triad mount, a huge grind that only gets easier as you casually obtain cards.
I’ll be honest. The Ixion is what I want most! 😍 Other than that, the earring! Just because it’s cute. ☺️ I’ll add it to my collection of glamour trinkets I never use. 🤣
How to BLU?
You can easily run the dungeon to get a Predator with a friend unsynced if you're both at 90. Does take a few runs though. I was running through all my lvl 90 jobs just to see which could clear the fastest.
the " a long fall" orchestrion was added to the eureka orthos lootpool, thats why the price tanked a lot lately 🙂 another way to save yourself some time and gil if you want to do orthos anyways. i got mine through that too..not sure if it was gold or silver sacks tho

I purchased Magitek Predator during a previous Moogle event and it's a good buy if you like the mount. It doesn't drop often.

Don't get the Vath orchestrion roll for tomestones! The Vath start at friendly unlike other beast tribes, meaning you only have to unlock them and do 3 dailies (for the currency) to buy it

This sucks. I paid a fortune for the hairstyle and solo'd for two days to get the ugly mount.
I have Nightmare horse mount, it dropped randomly when i was farming something else, not bad if one isn't outto get it.
Prometheus card took me forever to farm, I think the drop rate is pretty low so I'd recommend buying it here.

My strategy with the Triple Triad cards is to play triple triad while I'm queing for the Tome instances. If I get the card before I farm the tomes then I don't buy it. If I can't get the card during that time then it's worth the tomes.

This is actually the one time that I’ll be farming the heck out of these tomes. I would normally only get enough for the special 100 tome item, but with the new MGP mount I’m going to farm as much tomes as I can get.

sadly no dragon mounts, i will be skipping this event, i only did it for the dogs and seeign there no dragon mounts in this i could care less
I can't overstate how easy it is to get Ixion (and any other FATE related reward) once you get yourself connected with Faloop. Get those mounts, people!

Oh good, I just started levelling BLU. Maybe I'll be ready in time to farm a bit.
I really wouldn't bother going for the Nightmare mount. You can skip Ifrit's nail phase on BLU or a level 90 job with decent burst (e.g. SMN). Runs take ~10 seconds each. It absolutely will not take hours to get one at the current level cap.
HW ex trials are all solo-able especially as a tank, stormblood and up need atleast 1-2 more people unsync.
You can unsync the dungeon solo for the Predator if you want. It’s not that bad (I mostly did it as a DNC and I think I finished it in around 7 minutes?) plus you get all the loot to turn into the grand company for seals.
Personally I’d do that before using tomes on it.
Not worth it for bun users….
