The anti free trial thingie is during Endwalker's initial few weeks. Due to massive server overload, plus the influx of ex-WoW players swarming in every day, they had to cut off sales of the game to new players until things settled back down.
I like to multitask while grinding Prae. I'll go onto Instacart and order groceries, or queue up Youtube and watch stuff. Even with the nerfing of Prae, it still takes awhile, so a distraction is still welcome.

I've literally made a grilled cheese during the Prae cutscenes and gotten back to eat it before the cutscene ended 😂.
