You all asked for it so here it is! Maybe one day I’ll go over the various stories of the Alchemist but I wanted to get the broader points out of the way first. I hope everyone had a lovely week and has an even better weekend!

  1. "Dubbed a "god in the machina" by those who first discovered it, modern scholars have yet to discover not only what the catalytic agent contains, but exactly how it functions, understanding only that the substance is required to strengthen the properties of certain materials."

So uh… any chance these catalysts are, if not philosopher stones themselves, prototypes of a true philosopher stone??

Edit: Meant to say that the catalysts in question are the in-game item called "Allagan Catalyst"

  3. Makes you wonder if (and if so, how much) Radz-at-Han's discoveries were influenced by the research of the Allagan Empire.
I mean, logically there is barely any (or straight-up no) connection, buuuuut…

Vritra was around during the Empire's time. Sure, he had (and has) lots of reason to hate the Empire's guts, but who know what he took from them. Maybe even as some small revenge…

  4. Please tell me we don't have to go to Thavnaria for the test, I don't have time or the gil for the ship and that researcher at The Confluence scares me…
