  1. I thought that the difference between human races and beast tribes is that humans are sundered ascians/ancients, and beast tribes are the descendants of the beings created by ascians/ancients with creation magics before the sundering.

  2. The Garleans do actually refer to Eorzeans as 蛮族 (banzoku, savage tribe) in the Japanese script, which is exactly the same word the Eorzeans use to describe beast tribes. Anyone who can summon 蛮神 (banshin, savage god) are savages in their eyes.

  3. "Beast Tribe" – literally a term created by capitalists to separate indigenous peoples from their wealth… Classic. Honestly, it feels like this was being built to be a major plot point in ARR, and I it's such a shame to see how it got dropped. In the post shadowbringers quests it seems like they're bringing it back as a significant story arc, I hope it gets the significance it deserves in endwalker!

  4. I believe it was in the last patch, something I had been looking forward to after so much "You probably don't wanna sit through some boring political meeting" and I was like "I very much want to sit in on this one."

    And when we finally got to join, I kinda felt like that was the best part of the whole patch. Honestly a great patch in general but, perhaps in time we can leave the whole concept of "Beast Tribes" behind.
