I knew Y'shtola was older than her late teens or 20's than you for addressing this. Love your vids. Always gets me pumped to play more ff14 and feel like I'm part of a world that exists outside of myself as the WoL. Keep up the great work!

huh I actually didn't know that much about my favorite Scion. I was also under the assumption she was 23, but it doesn't off put me since she does as an air of maturity and being the Mom of the group. I really want the drawings of kid Y'shtola as they are adorable.

ya know, i really love how t'shtola is in her 30s. feels like we really don't have enough prominent characters in any franchise that are women and in their 30s and her age not being the center of some sort of running joke. it's also nice to have a 30s character to kinda relate to as i get into my 30s, it makes it feel less….old.

What was the reason why the Scions at the end of ew "disbanded"?
One day Y'shtola will get an interesting character arc but for now she can serve as the one competent adult of the scions

I love how she’s not even considering the possibility that she won’t return to the first. It’s an impossible task and she’s like “yeah I’ll figure it out” lol
Bearing in mind I’m only lvl 65 Smn/Sch and Whm Hyur just about to venture beyond Baelsar’s Wall and start Stormblood but I’m kinda mixed in feeling about Y’shtola.
I haven’t forgotten the way she abandoned the WoL to a bunch of stupid petty tasks for the so-called “Company of Heroes” before the fight against Titan. She didn’t even try to half the amount of tasks, nor tell us that she’d figured out it was a test of the WoL’s character and even took part of their mocking him/her at the end.
Nor have I forgotten that she’s known about Yda’s little secret, along with the other “core” Scions and despite all the WoL has done for them, none of them even considered trusting the WoL enough to encourage Yda to be honest with us.
In truth I’m not particularly fond of any of the Scions present when the WoL started working for them. I’ve always felt more of an independent contractor working for them than an actual member.
But while I had issues with Thancred justice hiding out in Dravania instead of trying to find us, and Yda and Papalymo basically abandoning the WoL and Scions both by spending far too long with the Rebels I can’t actually fault Y’shtola during the actual getting to Titan and during Heavensward.

Given we actually had to track down her aether and then had to enlist the help of both her sister and the elementals to rescue her from the livestream I have no reason to blame her. And then indeed she worked rather well during Heavensward and whilst working with Krile on that magic cucoon spell.
Despite the rough start yeah Y’shtola is one of the characters I actually respect and feel mild fondness for.
Alphinaud has grown on me and I’m fine with Estinien but I do rather feel the only actual friend that saw the WoL as a friend instead of a weapon… well. If you’ve cleared the Vault you know who I mean and if you haven’t then it’s best I don’t spoil you.

Y'shtola herself definitely played a role in me making my character, brain literally went "Yeah she looks to be the older sister type." and went with it since.
Also at 1:12 when I first saw Y'thub I couldn't help but to do the Liquid Snake "BROTHER!" and hugged him, for the fact I haven't seen a single male Y clan member and really was hoping to see some in EW, but oh well.

To clarify something, when you mentioned Yda and Y'shtola hitting it of was this original Yda or Lise? I'm not exactly sure which one as I don't know the exact time the swap happened.

Since I viewed my character as an adventurer around the age of 24, it made since as to why I saw her as a big sister.
