  1. I'm so happy for Island Sanctuary, however i think they should still allow us use housing seeds cause it's still a pain in the donkey to get a house due to numerous of folks tryna get into lottery system and not having luck. So I really hope they give us the option to get a garden that let us use housing seeds. But I'm thrilled for Island Sanctuary. My biggest concern, wow garrison had so much promises but implemented as a failure, I really hope Island Sanctuary wont be like the garrison system esp when building a base and it's layout.

Speaking of savage dungeon! I really hope they give us rewards for them, mayhaps helps us buy gear but take longer to get the currency? Like you have to get a dungeon currency, turn an x amount of dungeon currency into a book or something for gear.

  2. If patch 6.2 is on the 23rd, it's on track to what they said: 4 months + 1 extra week for summer. If it is on the 30th, then it was delayed by a week. We'll have to wait and see. "Late" for them usually means the last week of the month.

  3. I feel like Island Sanctuary is the "Restoration of Ishgard" for this expansion
in that it sounds like what could develop into the eventual "high end" crafting/gathering content for this expansion

the system they mention where we construct handicrafts and export them sounds to me like the logical place to insert Expert Recipes for this expansion

  4. I think it's Stardew Valley, and tbh, I'd love it if they would allow housing seeds to work on Island Sanctuary as that would help take some of the demand away from ward housing. If that understanding is correct, that's a total missed opportunity to help make things better with the housing cluster.

  5. I love to hear y'all do a vid on loot lockouts and whether the timing on their removal should be adjusted. One of the big draws of XIV over it's competitors is being able to play multiple jobs on one character, but current loot lockouts on high end content make actually gearing those jobs to take into meaningful combat content impractical. I feel like I have to choose a job to play in the first 1-2 weeks of content being released and I'm stuck with that choice for 4+ months.

  7. DoH and DoL leveling GREATLY accelerated the 0-90 with the release of the Ishgardian restoration stuff. The way you should be recommending leveling DoH and DoL NOW is to wait until you have access to the Ishgardian restoration content, then go grind that. The XP from the turn ins is so great that it outclasses everything else, which is nice because it makes it fairly easy to co-level them all because omni-crafter is the way to go IMO.

  8. Some people said they over do the Island Sanctuary, its a game inside a game. But I think it should be over done, has self-contained play rules, and be expandable like dev promised. Ishgard Restoration is outdate because it is tied to the specific purpose of housing, Island should not be like that. It must be like house decoration that could be refreshing when ever new furniture added. Island as a platform they can add more features in the future expansion.

  9. I can't explain how excited I got with the island sanctuary update. Yoshi was all like "temper your expectations" and then dropped a damn game on us. It sounds just as featured as a few dozen of those "early access" games that go viral because they're already fun even if they're incomplete as the devs see them. I can see it eating up a lot of my time.

  10. Nothing personal….

But FORGET about the Island Sanctuaries!! Are you two aware of the illegally commissioned billboard in Texas made by an ERP FC? All of social media is blowing up over this!!

Please tell me you guys are aware!

  11. In regard to the comment that crafting 1-50 is the hardest, in my experience (an opinion of course), as a self gatherer, it may have been the most gear dependent content, but it was not the larger time sink. I think that honor went to Heavensward. Adding extra mats needed for the base material (nuggets mainly) and the hidden resources while gathering, it made gathering what you needed more of a grind. The recipes also seemed to need more (complex) mats overall as well and slowed down the progression overall I thought.

1-50 crafting has the Ixali tribe able to consume all 12 of your daily allowance as well as the grand company which could really push you forward. Not to take away from the Moogles who are great as well, but don't have the same yield (but they are quite quicker and more predictable)

  12. I'm still going to grump a bit because this was a chance to do estate gardening without houses. A chance to take a bit away from the demand on the housing market. A chance to help those who will never win the lotto and even get a small.

    They didn't.

    I don't know WHY they didn't, so I can't judge too harshly.

There's a lot of things that they didn't do, but without context, I can't judge. … but I'm still going to be a little bit grumpy.

On the other hand, I do love me some farmville. So I am hopeful for what is there, and will continue to be, without letting that spoil my attitude for anything else, and vice versa.

  13. The explanation of why crafting and gathering classes won't be needed is that we're not doing any of the work. Our minions are. Minions doing gathering, gardening, and crafting. We just give orders.

I'm expecting the houses and buildings to be TINY, minion scale. And that to be why we can't have a house there, it's a TINY place.

  14. I won’t lie. Endwalker made crafting far too easy. Pentamelded my gear but didn’t really have an incentive to do so because it’s so forgiving now. Not sure if we get harder recipes going forward though
