  1. Im more worried about limited tickets to be honest, flight and hotels arent a problem for me, but im scared the moment the tickets go on sale, theyll sell out, i hope they have a good amount of tickets.

  2. I just hope I can go to this one because tickets sold out fast for the last one so I wasn't able to go. Just 30 minutes and I was in line that whole time when they announced they would go up for sale.

  3. Few tips from a Vegas native:

-please goodness bring water. The hall registration area is huge but the lines for smaller cons have stretched outside before and it's gonna be hot.

-while there's the monorail that goes to the center from some hotels, traveling by foot in the area is a little hit and miss. Uber/Lyft will also be up in cost around then, so if you're traveling in a group consider a rental car!

-If you're looking to get food, there's plenty of options off the strip and in the Vegas china town, which had dozens of food options!

-finally, for those looking at hotels. The Rio/Palms where previous fanfest were are not too far away from the convention center by car, so if you find a deal at those hotels take those into consideration šŸ™‚

Happy is right about everything he brought up, stay safe and see you there!

  4. The slice is right idea would be cool, I can't see it being done any other way than light panels as mentioned. July is a bit rough, just came back from EVO this year there and it was really fucking hot, sometimes very uncomfy

  5. I went to the one in Paris, in 2019. My experience there was… mixed. The convention itself and the activities there were awesome; had a lot of fun… when I actually got to do them. The lines were… long. Painfully long. I'm pretty sure I spent half the time I had standing in line. It was early Februari, so the weather was nice. Reasonably cool at night, not too hot during the day, never felt like I was sweating too much, but still brought deodorant. Got to meet members of my static IRL, which was also an interesting experience, though by its end, we wished we had actually done less of the convention itself and more other stuff with each other, which we're gonna try this time. I got sick as hell on the last day too (thanks for the hand sanitizer tip). (yes, we're still running raids together. I've been in the same static for 7 years now. Crazy to think about. Though the lineup has changed in that time, of course; only 4 OG members remain active, though the others still hang around. Well some do.)
I'm going this time, but I'd say: don't plan your whole weekend to do nothing but fanfest, especially if you're going with friends or meeting static members. Find other stuff, especially the kind you can only do in person and probably at the place you're travelling to, which, somewhat ironically, will not be FF14.

  6. As someone who lives in Vegas being outside in the summer during the day sucks. Always stay in the shade whenever possible if you have to be outside, as it's the sun intensity that is unbearable

As soon as the sun goes down it's much better. Invest in a vacuum insulated water bottle, it keeps ice water cold all day

  7. I want to give a warning to those that want to walk the strip from someone who has lived in Vegas for a bit. When the walk light turns on, don't immediately go. Wait a second or two. And definitely do not walk in front of taxi's when they have the right of way. They do not give a fuck.

  8. Thank you so much for this video! This will be my first fan fest, and I'm both excited and anxious, but this lets me at least know what to expect, and puts my mind a bit at ease. I'm super looking forward to it! (provided I get the ticket >_>)
