It's never too late to start. For optimal enjoyment you should of course play as a Lalafell.
Marty is back on XIV!
Woo! New Marty vid on Final Fantasy 14! Hell yeah!
6:41 You talked about playing Reaper, but then showed Astro and then Samurai… It was a bit confusing, is all.
Also Reaper (like Sage) starts at level 70.
As someone that has played this game since ARR, I appreciate this video. Very nice breakdown for new players. Always love your content Marty.
There are only 3 jobs that require you to be at the expansion to unlock them. Because their unlock quests are in the expansion areas, sre Astrologian, Dark Knight, and Machinist. The other expansion jobs quests start in one of the 3 starting cities snd their requirements are that you need to have beaten base ARR, and are the appropriate level to unlock. For example, when Dawntrail releases, you can unlock them even if youre still progressing through heavensward, but you will need at least a level 80 job to accept thr quest.
Great video, I just came back myself and have fallen in love with the game all over again. What is the story with getting a house at this point, just curious if it has gotten any better. My guess is not haha.
its not a big wall. its A MASSSSSIVE wall and time to play the new xpac. square needs to fix this.
i cant even get friends to play the game because of how long it takes to catch up
Yeah, it really does take quite a while, I've been playing a few hours a night for about three months and I only just hit Stormblood lol, there's an absolutely absurd amount of side content if you choose to pursue it all. Fun though, definitely in a league of its own compared to the rest of the MMO space.
You can pay to skip some of the expansion.
