  1. Instead of having an on & off button I use a '/wait x' command that makes it automatically disappear after X seconds. That's what I use for my job changing & emote hot bars. I hit the macro, my hot bar pops up, I change jobs and then after x seconds it disappears automatically.

  2. Had no idea you could macro hotbars 🤯 😎👍🏻 ty Can I ask, have you done a vid of the most popular/needed macros you’ll ever need to use, please? And ty again for these tips ❤️

  3. Hi Meoni! Macros! Those very useful yet puzzling tools! I’ve always been hopeless at using these lol. Between getting command lines wrong and forgetting that I set them up to begin with, I don’t take any advantage from them lol. Unlike FFXI who’s battle menus often depended on macros, FFXIV is quite forgiving for those not akin to become programming aficcionados lol. 😅 But this, I think deserves a bit more effort on my part. Again, my thanks for to Meoni for explaining this subject in a simple to understand way. Mistakes and all so we can better learn it! 😁 Stay safe. ❤️

  4. I prefer to have a single button toggle on and off, which you can do if you just type
    /hud "Hotbar 1"
    for example.

Also I desperately wish there was a a macro to make Job gauges invisible!

  5. Great guide. I personally have all 10vof my bars displayed, mostly full of emotes. But I love hearing new ideas. Maybe I'll change my layout with some of these ideas. It's been a few years since I messed with it. Time for some changes? Thanks for the guide
