They should increase how many totems u can hold cause 2000 is to small same with company seals and the idea was cool but I think they should change it up the old should merge with new one's so there one set obvious after u complete the weapon then there will only be one set of ultimate gear and its viable through the next expansion and we can level they up through the story cause the relics have alway come out at the end of expansion which make them not worth have cause next expansion the new non legendary weapon are better

  2. Make the relic less of a "repeat mundane task many times" and more of a "do epic things once" ARR relic had you doing primals, trials, a dungeon, and visit beastmen strongholds. That was fun, then they just trashed all that and just made us do fates for Atmas etc.

  3. I wouldn't mind seeing the relic be a scalable equipment like the Aytherite earing to a certain level, or like the gear in WoW where if you have capped alts, you can get special gear to trade in on your new toon that scales.

  4. FFxi styled relics and gear in my family friendly FFXIV? How dare you try make relics worth something. joking aside. I don't disagree with adding unique perks to relics. I've been SUPER bored with gear in general since 3.0 because the only purpose they serve is to inflate values that, as you know if you play RPGs mean literally nothing in the long term. Games like Super Mario RPG, the Paper Mario games ect all offer the same type of experience with single to double digit damage numbers which give you the same feeling as doing Disgaea damage. It's all nonsense at the end of the day. But if you give me something that changes how I play the class? Well now I'm listening.

    However that isn't FFxiv; there's no evidence that they would ever try and do something like that to their core experience, probably for the sake of easily balancing classes on the back end. I get it but at the same time, gear with inteesting traits has existed in all FF titles since FF1. I've played hundreds of hours of Monster Hunter World just collecting everything to try out builds for everything and anything. But in FFxiv, Gear offers nothing unique on it other than Item levels, minimal min maxing when it comes to skill/spell/tenacity ect or Haste gear in Bozja and Eureka. It's the type of gear I would do savage content for, not that I think it should all be locked behind savage tier content, just saying that's how much i want it to exist. Gear is just glamour, more thought goes into how it looks than how it actually performs. Thanks guys, love your ideas, keep up the good work!

  5. I'm to the second dungeon in Bozja but not sure if I'm gonna finish them or the relic weapon. Not because it's a grind but because I'm currently working on other things and having more fun doing them. I don't really mind missing out on something in a game. I'd rather do what I enjoy at any given time than let a game dictate what is or isn't fun to me. If people stop doing it and I can't advance there then I'm fine with that. Just enjoying finishing up on leveling the last of my jobs more atm.

    Who knows, tomorrow may be nothing but playing in the Gold Saucer or randomly visiting people's homes to see what they look like. I get wishy-washy like that. Just gotta enjoy yourself sometimes. For some reason, I'm in a weird mood to do some fishing in-game and I hate fishing. Think I'm gonna dust off my fishing pole this next week and see what achievements I still need.

  6. Relics have always been, in my opinion, simply prestige glamor items and I do agree that the grind should be nerfed for some steps (how many people will be running Delubrum after 6.0?) I do like the idea of additional effects like modified skill animations though.

  7. So to go with the animation suggestion Chris had, I'd absolutely love it if usin my ragnarok zeta changed my skill animations to that same ragnarok crimson. Frankly I've always been disappointed there's no way to alter our skill appearance any how, even if all we do is change the colors.

  8. The problem is they do a new relic system each expansion. Perhaps this is to accommodate new job relic, story, etc so they don’t have to back track. Bozja relic has been the easiest grind but also the worst relic IMO

  9. One point on relic grind but for the love of god can Yoshi please make Eureka more solo friendly, seriously they really need to think about this sort of thing because we all know that in a years time or so bozja is going to have almost the exact same problems.

  10. They need to stop making Relics gated behind annoying content. I hate Eureka and Bozja which are just grind-fests of running around doing nothing but FATEs and waiting around for FATEs. I'd rather have unlocks like ARR or HW where I have clear, concrete goals and missions I can accomplish without being forced into group side content.

  11. S-E devs seem to be irrationally afraid of these tryhards who think only raids should have the absolute best weapons, so they drag out the Relic process beyond reason.

  13. Make Relics like Legendary Weapons in GW2.
    It will ALWAYS be max level max stats, maybe even go an extra mile and you can pick your sub-stats?
    Via upgrade quests.

    Which I think is kinda what you guys were talking about.
