Thank you as always for watching these video’s, heavensward has been incredible and the support on here is amazing!! As requested I will be carrying the series on in the usual format for Stormblood, so expect Stormblood part 1 in the coming week 🙂

  1. I trusted in Papalymo. He knew what he was doing, and he did so willingly. I wasn't going to make things any harder.

Also, as a fan of FFV, the Omega/Dragon cutscene freaked me the hell out.

  2. ARR was rushed in less than 2 yrs to get away from the utter disaster 1.0 was. You can tell they had time with Heavensward and wanted to make the game they wanted to make w/o being chained to 1.0.

  3. The tattoo that you see on all the scions doesn’t mark them as a Scion, but as an Sage recognized by Sharlyan. Basically equivalent to being an absolute master in their “acedemic” field. The Circle of Knowing was Louisoix’s group and was made up of Sages and were referred to as Archons, and following his death came under Menfilia as the Scions.

  4. Welcome to stormblood. Time to buy the game if you haven't already. Just a couple things. Always be weary of liking characters. SE likes to build up a character just to kill them off :(. The dragon's name is Shinryu. Not saying much but you haven't seen the last of that dragon. There is also some backstory later too but just 1 thing, Shinryu isn't Bahamut and like Ilberd said, he was trying to summon something stronger than even Bahamut.

  5. Funny thing, now we know who was the liitle girl that Yda was trying to save when she died 6 years ago.
The story is presented in newest "story of Twilight", so … if you havn't finished Stormblood, maybe do not read that one yet 😉

Tattoo that Yda/Lyse had, was a charade made by Papalymo, while others had their tattoes as a Circle of Knowing, Louisoix students

  6. Would love to have a video of you reacting to Stormblood trailer!!

Also I cried my butt off during Papalymo's last stand. I'm a gridania OG so I feel very attached to him and Yda, now Lyse. It's dangerous to have faves here 😭

  7. YOU never actually met Yda. The timeline is a bit fuzzy, but 6 years ago either puts her death just before 1.0 or just after the Calamity. So, it's possible Yda was never actually in the game and definitely was dead before ARR begins.

  8. There's a lot of hate towards Lyse, primarily because her story feels a bit rushed and contrived. If you pay attention to what she's done so far in the game and the big fight with Gaius the Scions had in 1.0, at this point she's probably the most offensively powerful of the Scions. By a good margin too.
From the looks of the ages of involved of the members of the Circle of Knowing it looks like Louisoix's first students that he brought with him were Urianger, Papylymo, and Thancred as they seem to have been the oldest of them. If so this would explain why Papylymo was capable of doing what he did.
No spoilers but Heavensward's strengths lay heavily in it's characterization. Stormblood is a bit more about the plot than the characters. I've always thought that's why it suffers by comparison to Heavensward and Shadowbringers. Stormblood is good it's just not the epic that the story before and after are.
