  1. First of all Happy New Year! Wishing you and your loved ones all the best ^-^

LMAO @ the Viera comment btw 😆

I couldn't be happier with the overall look and detail level on the gear set, or the way it dyes – my only issue with it is that the collar clips my character's preferred hairstyle badly, but only the front, the back is fine – I had to go and change hairstyles on purpose just so that I could take some decent screenshots for my thumbnail 😅 But like you, I really thought this was pretty much at cash shop quality, especially with the way it dyes so well with much colors (I think it's good the dying is kept simple, it is heavily inspired by actual samurai armor – they even call it yoroi in the quest – so it would have detracted from that had they gone too crazy with it)

  2. If this would have had less jacket, and more armor around the body piece, it would’ve been a perfect score for me. This is still an amazing set, and it’s absolutely what Samurai AF should have been from the get go.

I’m so pleased with this that I run several glamour styles for my Sam, War and Drk mixed with their respective Genji weapons from D4S.

Hope others are enjoying this set as much as I am.

Happy New Year, Meoni. Keep up the great work!

  3. The outfit is okay. Not a huge fan on how they’ve really tried to push metal into glams recently. I prefer soft materials myself with glams. Still much better rewards than previous years 🙂

  4. Thanks Meoni! Funny comment about the helm and Viera. Although the real reason may be that the helm already exists in the game. And if anyone is in the mood to start the year shopping on the cash shop, all of the Heavensturn helms are on sale right now 😉

  5. There is no helm because this is the 13th heavensturn (or actually I think they skipped one during Bahamut reborning the ream), usagi was the first helm in 1.0 and they're all on the store I think. I wonder if they'll do armor sets to match each or if this is intended to match all of them?

  6. I finished this event just an hour ago. It’s was easy and fast. And the story was rather sweet. ☺️ The armor/glamour is lovely! And that banner was a must have for my Japanese inspired quarters. I think…. (haven’t checked yet) I might already have an usagi helmet from years ago. But is that even possible? 🤔 The last rabbit year was 2011. Now I need to verify. 😅
To my great shame… I (somehow) completely missed the celebration event. 😭 For those of you in the same case, please note that the event items will be available for purchase next year. Good news for me. 😅
    Thank you Meoni!

  7. Its such a great set that is free & the dye parts are really amazing. It looks great on my WAR with this Axe from SB that has a dragon design on it. Really happy with this glamour reward.

  9. Technically the armor is called scale armor. Small metal plates sewn onto a backing of heavy cloth or leather. Fairly reminiscent of historic Chinese or Japanese armors. See "Terracotta Army" 🙂
Edit: The cat heads from last years Heavensturn looks really good with this outfit.

  10. Everything on that glam is historically accurate. Those pants are probably hakama that have been tied into the boots, the top of them does look like traditional hakama waist ties. It looks the way it does because that's how those suits of armor looked. Asking for changes would be like saying you wanted a British aviator's set from WW2, but with a sarong instead of the trousers. XD
