  1. I'm really hoping the late Halloween event gives a better looking glam set of some sort. Maybe for male characters this is good, but I just don't think it looks very good on female characters, and none of the parts really look like something I'd use in other glams. Plus it just doesn't really dye well in any of the colors I tend to use. Hopefully others enjoy it.

  2. I agree about the dye system, I have so many cool glam items that I can't match because half of it stays another color (like this chest piece in your video). It is SO infuriating. I don't know why the designers keep leaving these giant areas undyeable, like why? Also another gripe is the amount of mog station items that they release that aren't dyeable. If I'm paying for a set with real life money, it damn well better be dyeable- if not I won't buy it.

  3. the shirt on this ruins it totally .. if it had long sleeves and not the blouse look it could have been like a robin hood look .. but this as it is is so ugly 🙁 At least we get some thing cool for Halloween event soon.

  4. Speaking of dye complaints, my most recent disappointment was the 90 whm artifact gear. I only wanted to be able to dye the ribbons, while keeping the main bits white. Instead, the white part gets dyed, while the ribbons stay red/pink. ><

  5. Its a nice glam to be sure… but its not quite my style… It would be cool for a gatherer's outfit but I dont think I would buy it. As for dye options… well, coming from GW2, its nice being able to dye every single section of an armor piece… but whether thats "better" I'm not so sure. Its not something I'd be adamant about.
As for the glam system: all in all, I really love it, the way it works and all (though, yes, would be nice to access glam-plates outside the major cities). However, more storage and more glam-plates are totally needed! We have so many awesome armor pieces, for battle jobs and crafters and gatherers – but you can rarely use them for lack of plates and storage. Its a real shame 🙁

  6. Not excactly the most stunning glamour. As for the tails thing, I just wish they would finally make a set of animations that have the tail simply slighhtly tucked to the side, so that it is below capes and longer armor pieces without the clipping.

  7. idk why people don't like this set.. i've been waiting for them to add this ever since they showed it for a split second in that one live letter, ran maps all day til i got the cloth for the top and i'm never changing my main glamour again

  8. We may eventually get multiple dyable sections per gear, but there's a good reason why this has not been the case for so long: you effectively duplicate the color data in the data packets you transmit. So imagine that you have 6 bits for dyes. When your character enters an area, all the players in there are sent the 6 bits used to code the single dye for your outfit; but if you have two dyable sections, you'd be sending 12 bits instead of 6.

Now, normally this would be no big deal, but that's not the only information that needs to be sent: your race, your head type, your lips, your height, your tattoos, your hair, your hair color, your race-specific features…that's why there are not more customization options for your characters: it all costs bandwidth.

Of course, as network technology and infrastructure improve, it becomes feasible to make the data packets larger; but visual features will always be competing for space within a packet. So, they may have to decide at one point "do we add multiple dyable sections or more face-types?" Features always compete with each other in an MMO.
