  1. Considering hype due to collapse of WoW, this is expected. Only time will solve and it WILL solve unlike the GPU shortage which was mainly instigated by cryptomining.

In terms of server (or professional equipment) supply, I'm also having trouble with procuring a brand new workstation in my lab as well. They say it will be delivered at some 2 months later but their delivery date keeps postponing now. This shortage issue is real and I doubt it's due to labor shortage, etc. It's due to cryptomining which sucks all the essential part into GPU manufacturing. Those power supply semiconductors, logic gates, and capacitors are all needed to run any machines, including GPUs. But GPU shipment is record high, yet other purpose machines are short on supply at this moment.

At least SQE need to compensate more subscription time for the problem.

  2. Here's another fix. Paying customers should have priority. Those that pay a sub can stay forever in Q while one that pays zero money can hold a spot ingame for 24/7. How about cut free play for a time until servers stabilize or give priorities to the game (not in queue) to a paying customer

  3. I don’t want to bashing ff14 but come on we are in 2021 era. This que issues was before the endwalker. I think ff14 should build more servers before the release. Anyway that’s my thought. I am curious what others thinks

  4. I was so angry! I'm in a queue and "World is Full" comes up

Now I'm not so angry. They know. They understand.

I'm on Tonberry. It sucks! So bad!

No wonder I was able to log easily today.

  5. As a WoW refugee, I can say that FFXIV is worth the wait. When stuff like this happened on WoW, they were like, oh well. that sucks. Do I wish I could get in and play more? Sure. Am I pissed at Square Enix because it's happening? No. I understand why it's happening, they're telling me why it's happening, apologizing because it's happening, and promising to fix it. When Yoshi P. says "I'm sorry." I believe him.

  6. This all sounds awful. Several months to fix the lack of servers. After I read that, I unsubbed. I’m not going to spend another minute waiting in queue to play a game I pay a monthly sub for.

  7. My experience with the lobby servers has definitely improved over the last few days. I was actually able to play the game AFTER work yesterday. I had to wait in queue for over an hour, but it was bearable because the game would save my spot in queue if I disconnected.

  8. I'm here because another error 2002 increased my q from 2k to 4,5k. So another 2 hours if it's even worth it.

Oh and here is my 2 cent fix – increase the grace period for a reconnect to 5m from 60s. I have another client open in case it crashes, but you can get several 2002 errors in a row and drop out of q anyway.

  9. I think they are doing everything they can given the circumstances. The fact they are being open and up front about, it speaks volumes. I played wow from vanilla launch to shadowlands 9.1 launch. Blizzard never would be this open and their servers just crash constantly in situations like this. At least in ffxiv, it's only the login servers. Once you get in it is smooth as hell. Never seen an expansion launch go so smooth. Keep up the good work Square Enix. It will be worth it in the end.

  10. The source of your frustration is similar to mine…being stuck in a long queue isn't the problem…it's getting disconnected from the queue and having to go back to the end of the line after spending considerable time in the queue…and for this to occur not once or twice but repeatedly. If somehow disconnects from the queues cease, the situation would be tolerable.

  11. I appreciate the transparency but I see no way to play anytime in the next few weeks if login queues remain this long, that's pretty unacceptable. It's not like we are talking about 30 min or hour-long queues it's 5, 6 or even 7 hours.

  12. I don't know, got a 3001 error, tried again, got in a que and I am 88 in que, but it isn't moving at all lol. It sucks, I understand the dilemma and appreciate the open communication. It would be nice to have an estimated wait time to the que though

  13. As long as I don't lose my place in queue I can just fire up another game while I'm waiting, but it took me 12 hours to get on yesterday because it kept kicking me back to like 6000 in queue and the 2002 error solution doesn't really sound like a solution.

  14. Well I am very grateful for all the changes that you're trying to make and giving us some free time there is no amount of compensation that will make up for not being able to experience this expansion from the beginning with my friends a lot of my friends are already way above me from where I will start when I finally can log in I just hope that they at some point understand that there's no amount of compensation that can be given for not being able to play with your friends from the start I hope they learn a valuable lesson this time and maybe next expansion try harder to make sure this doesn't occur because this is a tough pill for me to swallow and they should have anticipated this

  15. Long as they fix 2002 and 4004 I am fine, like you say a que is not a problem as long as you know it is not going to explode the second you go to the bathroom.
That it will take them months to put in place a more permanent fix is unfortunate for FFXIV, I fear and understand that many will not want to spend 3-4hours in que after they get home from school or work, so in that way the problem will fix itself in the worst possible way long before they have the new tech in place.
But there is simply not much they can do about it, there is a shortage and there are others with way more money then SE that are competing for those limited resources.

  16. I think many companies far underestimate how much the transparency that Yoshi P and team provide helps to reduce the anger felt by these consumers. People don't like feeling unheard and this kind of transparency acknowledges people's frustrations and let's them know they were heard. As a software developer, I like this a lot because I like to understand these problems myself.

  17. This really sucks for us that work a 9-5 job. I got to play for a little bit Sunday morning, and that’s been it. I wouldn’t be so mad about queues if I could stay in the queue without crashing the game and sometimes even my computer.
