Gotta know what your thoughts on Hephaistos' second form in Savage >:3
I really need to get around to drawing him, it's gonna be an interesting challenge
I just can't help but imagine Fourchenault going home to Ameliance, collapsing into a chair with a heavy sigh and when she asks "what's the matter, dear?" he just very tiredly replies "The Warrior of Light went back in time to answer a voicemail and now hell is a real place."
You need to stop datamining the script and calling it theorising.
It took me a bit to realize that P8's theme was the various tunes from where we've encountered Lahabrea, directly or indirectly. When I heard the unmistakable tune of 'Thunderer', however (Ascian boss battle), I knew exactly what they were doing and loved it. I recognized Anyder, too, when it played. Took me a bit to realize the first part was 'general Ascian theme'.
I've had a couple theories regarding Pandaemonium being in the Aetherial Sea, in the present day. One theory tied into that eye in the background of P8 arena; the way I figure it, someone or something was watching our fight against Hephaistos. Part of me feels like the owner of that eye could bring Pandaemonium to the present day, for reasons unknown to us but to be explained in the third wing.
I rather like the Mateus theory, though. Fits so much better. ^^
And with that, Pandaemonium is concluded for now! Thank you again for sharing your reactions, Raptor! <3
Tier 1-Castlevania
Tier 2-Resident Evil
Tier 3-?????
Hey Raptor. Here's my crazy theory. What if the blue Crystal was Athena and the message found was a mislead to free her. It would spare her from the final days and she'd have no way to know about the sundering or how long she is sealed for.
One thing I hope they answer in the next tier, is how Hephaistos escaped. The TT card claims it was an unknown force that freed him, I am of the theory that the Shoebill has a part to play as in a side quest (The Abyss Stares Back) in Elpis it is named the Abyssus for staring off into the Elpis's Abyss (aka Pandaemonium as it is located below Elpis), also a few quotes from the system states stand out if you think about them. "The bird remains immobile. It stares unseeing, as if into some distant past." "The bird's gaze remains unchanged─fixed, perhaps, on some point in the far future." And with Pandaemonium shifted towards creations that were considered too flawed for submission, the Shoebill was giving trouble for the researchers, as they could not understand it, and may have been sent there after the Ktisis Hyperboreia incident.
Now this makes me think that the bird was Hephaistos (ARR Lahabrea, as old man might have been sundered?), and he somehow frees himself in the past after being released from the Eyes of Nidhogg. That would be why it was silent to Meteion so as not to be found out by the WoL. Also, it would allow himself to kidnap Erich in the present while the WoL is dealing with the Pandaemonium event in the past.
So Raptor, you thinking what I'm thinking?
FF9 Spoilers:
You covered Pandemonium from FF2, and now for FF9.
So in FF9 Pandemonium is where the souls of Terra are housed waiting for new vessels, right? What function does the Aetherial Sea in FF14 normally serve again?
And Athena's research was about transcending mortal flesh to become something more, which led to musing about how souls are created…
Forget Lahabrea's dark half… I think it was ATHENA absorbing all that energy to transcend the limits of her soul.
Further, in both instances Pandemonium gets destroyed by Ultima… What artifact containing Ultima have we encountered in this game that was connected to Lahabrea?
P.S. I swear, if Soken remixes the Pandemonium theme and throws in some Big Fat Tacos I'm gonna riot. 🤣
Raptor: "It's a remix of the Ascian theme!"
Me: begins imagining it
…WHY THE HELL DID I NEVER NOTICE!?
Oh cool, you got to the William Birkin raid boss! He even turns into a four legged beast like Birkin
The writers are going to start coming after Raptor for stealing all the scripts for XIV and spoiling all her friends
I can hear Emet-Selch’s groan of annoyance as he sees our soul getting into more mischief.
Well thank you Raptor and the coven for spoiling the end of Pandemonium!! Madge! 😂
After you explaining your theory, my response, "Oh shit..o_o"
Part of me still thinks Eric will become our Laha because neither side of Laha has the personality to be either of the friends ( Presumed at this point to be Laha and Iggy ) in Elidibus' the "rains have ceased" memory. It would fit Eric more and may explain why our Laha lost so much of his soul and sanity from body hopping…Eric just isn't as good as that stuff because Emet presumably hopped between clone bodies a bit ( You know Varis must have killed him more than once lol ) with no ill effect.
Past Laha (either of them) knew far too much about manipulating and blending of souls to not take steps to prevent losing himself like that he preformed basically surgery on his own soul to cut out the bad side but kept it just incase he needed to put it back…
Idk it keeps bugging me haha
Forchenault could be a perfect case of reincarnation for Hades if the game chose this way. It seems no Azem can live without pestering an old fart.
So how did we enjoy Lahabrea and Athena's very special home movies.
I just realized this all may have something to do with how Lahabrea and Emet-Selch learned to enter the rift and escape the sundering. Separating soul from flesh and it’s limitations! But now they and the other Ascians are left without bodies as a result and require the possessions. And the lower ranks don’t have as fine a control over Aether and require the living vessels versus the higher ranks and Paragons being able to take control of and reanimate corpses: creation magic.
