So, I'd been on and off roleplaying as being Hannish for about 4 years, ever since I obtained, fell in love with and never stopped wearing the Thavnairian outfit for my Bard back when I was in 2.X People who don't do extreme or savage content with my Paladin instantly associate me with that outfit So I'd developed a deep, strong emotional connection with Thavnair, and to finally arrive in my 'homeland' felt amazing, to have 'returned' to the land of my youth and to see my people once more
Then THIS part of the plot happened, and it tore my heart into bits I am ever thankful for the Trust system existing because during my first time through this dungeon I had to keep taking pauses to weep, as I saw my homeland burn, as I slew my peoples to save them from their agony, as I witnessed their very souls erode
For many and most, this was a dramatic dungeon that heralded the beginning of an incredible finale For myself, it was the one place I wanted to see more than anywhere else, a place I had forged a connection to, a land and culture I'd fallen in love with, in the depths of an unfathomable tragedy
It was a beautiful example of storytelling, and I got to experience it in what may well be a unique way This world is so rich and alive, I can't imagine where I'd be without it
💪🙏💞
