FFXIV: Endwalker Marauder/Warrior 1 to 90 Leveling Skills Guide

New? Got too many skills? Made the mistake of using a level skip and have no idea what anything does? Just hate reading? Try this guide out!

This guide seeks to teach new Warriors how to Warrior properly, without getting too deep into optimization. I’ll be showing off and explaining some openers but not delving too much deeper beyond that and general skill usage. Endgame is a long way away and there’s lots to learn along the way. Start slow and work your way up one skill at a time! Then, graduate to more advanced guides.

  1. I HIGHLY recommend making a macro for holmgang that targets you for the cast. This gets rid of all the downsides of the chain and all the upsides of the action.

  2. Little tip: If you won't need vengence later, pop it after heavy swing during the opener, it gets potion+raid buffs. It is even back up for 3 min buffs
Wait, wrong expansion. Anyways, its a nice little 285 potency on average.
It's usually the best moment to use it for damage as the bosses like to cast (so no attack to counter) at 10s interavals (talking about the current door boss in the last fight of the tier specificially), however you have about 20s during the start where they just auto, so counter hits go brrrrt.

  3. Anyone else like watching these for fun, for me it's really cool to see how all the classes work in this kind of format. Thanks so much for the videos!

  4. Is there a place to learn the optimum lvl 70 and 80 rotations, for like ultimates, ik for a few jobs the rotations don’t rlly change that much after 70 but would be nice to check, Ty for the video

  5. While warriors have the simplest offensive rotation, it has by far the highest skill ceiling defensive as imo, it has the most interesting defensives which interact so complexely with each other.

  6. Gunbreaker: I use cartridges to unleash combos and combos within combos

Paladin: I use my shield to defend myself and alternate between physical and magical attacks.

Dark knight: I unleash my inner darkness to fight alongside it.

    Warrior: Fel cleave go whoosh!

  7. I dunno if I'd agree with conal AoE being superior to circular AoE for Overwhelm. Of course I got used to it as I leveled, but I much preferred the other tanks' circular AoE attacks more than the cone, and never thought it synergized well with Mythril Tempest, since Tempest is a circular combo action. I understand if you prefer The Dreaded Cone™ instead, there is something to be said about always being ahead of a pack rather than dead set in the middle of it.

Also I love watching wesks videos and learning that I should really really starting reading tooltips for i never used warrior's heal on target on my sidetank -=x

  9. ok…lets make one thing clear about the AoE change
I, and many others, only every avoided Warrior BECAUSE that aoe skill was a cone not a circle
It make hitting enemies and keeping aggro at lower levels much, MUCH harder

  10. I like how the devs just keep adding to inner release. At the rate they’re adding to it, I wouldn’t be surprised if in 7.0 they let it also do your taxes.

  11. THE MONKE HAS BEEN RETURNED TO

small thing, any attack that says "deals a critical direct hit" in its tooltip (i.e: Chaotic Cyclone, Inner Chaos and Primal Rend, NOT Inner Release-buffed attacks) will cause Raw Intuition/Bloodwhetting/Nascent Flash heals to be guaranteed crit heals. Not sure if this makes any difference, but if stuff lines up it is a slightly stronger heal (also bigger number with exclamation mark give dopamine)

    oh and C H A O S

  12. I wanted to ask is it a good idea to double weave upheaval and inner release in the opener instead of delaying upheaval 1 gcd… and if not, why? Maybe u mentioned somewhere in the video but i missed it

  13. I also miss the Cone AoE of Warrior. I personally wish they changed all their AoE attacks into cones so they all matched. Plus, it would give Warrior a bit more identity amongst the Tanks.
