I'll miss you Brians benne You will never be forgotten
i like that this video both addresses all the things you can be doing but also takes into account the burnout/timing the content angle. Aligns with the chill feeling i associate with FFXIV; like all the grinds are my choice. haha
I mean, current gear will be irrelevant by the first dungeon or so.
So that means people can grind for mounts before the number crunch, they can level up their Blue Mages, they can pick up a crafter or gatherer (because those are always useful)
On the note about massive job changes, Iâm really interested to see what they do to summoner. So far theyâve always brought massive changes to the job every major expac but imo summonerâs the best its ever been so itâll be interesting to see if they decide to change it massively
Pls make bard good thanks
I'm a WAR main. Represent
âI want to start streaming in end walkerâ. Thatâs not a good idea, log in cues are real. When an expansion comes out in ffxiv. You can expect to wait hours just to log in, depending on the server. Keep that in mind.
My advice is to save as much Gil as possible. Things will get EXPENSIVE in new content so plan accordingly.
Chris is truly the king of analogies. I think you missed your calling as a teacher lol
somewhat random comment but I really enjoyed watching a bunch of new faces going through the msq on youtube in the last few months
With the stat crunch coming, I fear not the changes in 6.0 but rather 6.1. My assumption is the 6.0 changes will be mechanical in nature which will certainly lead to feelings of "nerfed" or "OP", but the stat adjustments in (likely) 6.1 will be the true gut punch.
What to do to prepare for Endwalker ?
Brian's List:
Retire Beanie âïž
Maxing out tomestones (best current gear will become poetics gear, that will last you several levels), save up gil, finish up whatever it is you want from Bozja/Delubrum before they become ghost towns, sell your excess of crafting materials and get equipment ready for the new classes.
Aye fellow Warrior!!! But… Sam mostly đ„
The only expansion prep I'm doing is mourning the last few months we have left with belts.
This time we have at least half year to perp for 6.0 so itâs no need to rush. Donât let your friends mess your pace.
Everyone is on the same starting line when 6.0 come. The only different is the time you have to upgrade your gear.
(Token/savage gear is usually Same/near the dungeon gear of 2nd dungeon in new expansion)
As yoshiP always said, you donât have to keep playing everyday. Come back if you want.donât turn game to daily chores or you will lost all fun from the game.
Thanks! you guys rock đž
iL530 gear will get replaced by level 85 dungeon gear (3rd dungeon into the expansion) Just like previous expansions.
Stromblood last raid tier gear was iL400. The second Dungeon in Shadowbringers (Dohn Mheg) rewarded iL 400 gears. It's only by the 3rd dungeon (level 75) that you get to replace your iL400 raid gear with iL406 dungeon drops.
Always a good option to clear out as many side quests you haven't done while powering through the MSQ.
Moreso if you're leveling up another job, never know if you missed an optional dungeon, or a nice mount/minion.
Yupp, this is a returning time for sure…. Played ARR to heavensward, quit about patch 3.2, came back 3.45 a month before 3.5, played through all of storm blood into 5.1 for shb, then quit till I came back roughly a month ago, so it does seem to be a trend even if it's not on purpose xD
Man, you are going to love the ending to the Weapon series. That last quest was massive feels, so damn good đ
Focus on getting a new Computer just in case they do some upgrades ingame lol. Also what is up with Chris' hair lol. He looks like he's getting ready to audition for a movie.
..finish stormblood shadowbringers lol
If I can start Shadowbringers by the time Endwalker comes out, I'll be happy. I keep procrastinating Stormblood to level jobs and do blue mage stuff plus working like 60 hours a week and Stormblood is going mighty slow right now lmao
I beat 5.0 a few days ago, and I've been doing a mix of leveling gatherers, doing all blue side quests that I didn't do earlier, maps with my FC, unlocking all the soul stones and leveling a few extra classes. I wanna do the Nier raids and Relic weapons soon, as well as leveling crafters. I've missed a lot of side content and have a lot of classes to level, so it's important to keep changing what I do, so I can make progress without burning out.
I always do what I want to do. I don't rush to endgame because I don't really care about endgame. I care about playing a game I enjoy. Even if I lag behind for all eternity, I couldn't care less. I'm still in Stormblood in FFXIV and in WoW I'm basically locked in the random battleground bracket. And you know what? I don't mind at all. Currently I'm playing Old School Runescape for the first time since 2007, while also enjoying member ccontent for the very first time and it's fun so far.
I have 3 âaltsâ which is my main and leveled two alts to around lvl 20 so I can use retainers. Total 30 retainers, stocking up for Endwalker. Who knows by then I might need another 1 or 2 more alts for storage.
I just started play FFXIV about 3 weeks ago. With a new expansion coming, do jobs get new abilities or what happens to your character when a new expac comes out?
I mainly play dps and right now have just about all dps at cap, finished all beast tribes, msq, weapons questline, and the raids. So I am def pretty ready.
Hopefully nothing like Raubaun Savage does not lock us out of progress on launch day.
returning player here after almost 1 and half. instead of jumpin onto my main, i made an alt and enjoy the story while learning the game again ( how to tank mostly). will start playing my main around september to clear the story, and getting used to playing war again. all in all, im having a blast playing from the start again, so many dungeons that i have forgotted how to tank lol
I can't imagine ever having nothing to do. There is just so much, every day. xD
