  1. How to remind the playerbase that the WoL is obscenely powerful (and terrifying in the wrong hands) with a single quest, as well as basic mob enemies being next to nothing beneath us that can’t even kill a single magitek unit without risking their life
You’re not supposed to have fun with this instance, and the devs capitalized on making it feel tense and stressful
I did this late at night and legit almost had a panic attack I was so scared for the scions, quit playing until the next day when I’d calmed down

  2. I loved the instance personally. The tension was high, and it made it pretty clear just how big of a power gap there is between you and the average Garlean. It reinforces the idea of just how scary you are to the average Garlean, just like how scary Zenos is to the average Eorzean.

  3. This is the only solo instance that I hate with a burning passion. I legitimately wanted fandaniels head on a spike after I was done. And of course G’raha picked us out immediately. He’s been fanboying over the WoL for how long now? Lol 😂

  4. Funny you mentioned that you hated and skipped that part of your video. I welcomed the challenge of getting through all that part, difficult as it was. But I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that we understand that if you have to cut out a segment for personal reasons then by all means. You do you. Glad you were able to get through it and continue the story. Also once again it's hilarious how we keep choosing the same dialog lol.

  5. One word just gave me the giggles as I felt the same way! I said nearly the same thing, only louder. "F*ker." I hated this one too. I'd rather just play as me. P.S. You getting snippy, or grumpy, or whatever is an honest reaction. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I guess I understand why you cut it though. I do enjoy your videos, even when you blast my ears to oblivion. I'm just sad I missed your voice grumpily cussing your way through that whole instance. LOL

  6. Throughout and at the end of this entire sequence, I only had two thoughts. One, the dread knowing that with Zenos in my body, things could have become infinitely worse. And two, the pure, unadultery need to beat these two down.

  7. Personally this instance didn't work for me. I'm not a fan of using other characters either, but usually am okay with it. Funny enough though, my main issue with those instances wasn't the issue this time, which usually is that I don't know wtf I'm doing when using the character. This time, the character was so simple, that wasn't a problem. The main issue I ran into wasn't difficulty either, it was aimlessness. I ended up running around for most the duration completely oblivious to what it wanted me to do. It took me out of the story as by that time I was going 'what is Zenos doing, smelling the flowers?' And just to further annoy me, I wanted to know something about this poor shmuck I'd possessed, and nothing. They aren't even mentioned afterwards. Are they dead? Were they just possessed? Who were they? If they weren't dead, did they live through it. If they were dead, how exactly does the possession work… I have questions and no answers! I would say it was my lowlight of the expansion story (which despite such I still consider the best of the bunch). In the end I just made it in time on my 1st attempt, and while I like portions of it, overall I definitely wasn't feeling it.

  8. So, fun fact:
Anima is originally from FFX, same as Yojimbo.
In 10, the summons, known as Aeons, are essentially enshrined spirits of the dead that form a pact with the summoner to create their manifestations. Anima in particular was the spirit of the mother of Seymour, the biggest pain-in-the-backside reoccurring villain, so making this version use the corpse of Emperor Varis as a medium was a nice touch.
