  1. hey Wesk, I cant state how much your guides and other things helped me through a lot of stuff in the game "I am no high end raider but i dabble in unreals every now and then" and despite what you may think and despite this being just another text on the internet…the ff14 category would be less without you and i look forward to your next stuff…be kind to yourself because you deserve it, you're one of the good ones

  2. Dude now imagine all those subs you got, those are real people aswell and their words just as real as those from the people in the media tour, even if it's just through comments. You're doing great stuff and we all wouldn't be here if we wouldn't like you and what you do!
Even Yoshi P agrees as you can see by the invite, haha

  3. I'm very happy for you regarding the event and grateful that you put the time into assessing the job changes going forward. Regarding your impact on the community, what I can say confidently is thank you for getting all my jobs to 90 cleanly and helping me become a better player overall. The way you've condensed and presented info from The Balance, your own experiences, and elsewhere is always top tier content and much appreciated. You will always be shared with others that I sucker into this game.

  4. As a response to the concluding thoughts, I've been working my way through an alt and I've been referring to your guides once again. They're my go-to for smoothing out the levelling experience even as a new expac approaches.
Glad to see you're still keeping on, and glad to see it paid off.

  5. I'm so glad you got to go. I love your content and your focus on jobs. I'm hoping they're will be opener videos again, they've really helped me with the various jobs. If not I'll still come watch your stuff.
Have a great summer and good luck in dawntrail

  6. As a very involved mentor in another DC, who also happens to have a lot of raiding experience, high end pvp experience, I can't agree more that this doesn't make someone a mentor at all. As for trolls, the day when the GM teams actually start reading and applying their TOS instead of putting you in jail for NN kicking a troll instead of the troll themselves, maybe things could start changing… The TOS is good, it's the GM teams that are crummy.

  7. Hah! You were my go to guide for general levelling, rotation and general rules of conduct and role responsibilities. I came to you for your clear "no-nonsense" structure and ease of use. Damn right you have helped me xD Glad to hear you are finally ready to take that in. Keep going Wesk!

  8. I’ve got to say first and foremost, that your guides are my instant go to when learning a job even to the point that I’ll honestly be confused on how to handle my new abilities and where they’ll fit until you’re there guiding me. Plus on top of that you’re content outside of guides is still fun and enjoyable to watch , so it’s not even that you’re just the “guide guy” your a great YouTuber in general.

On another note though, I’m still so baffled why they’re doubling down so much on the “job identity” thing when it comes to glamour restricting. Like you pointed out, even outside of level 1 glam gear, there’s armour for classes that laugh in the face of “none tank job can’t have plate”. If it’s a technical problem I wish they’d just come out and say it, and then start working on it, otherwise they’re just making it harder and harder on themselves as they go on, and people won’t stop asking about it.

  9. Man it feels like ages ago where i discovered your channel trying to look up guides having no idea how to push more damage. Over time my damage improved by a lot and its all thanks to you. I have seen you im a trial once but i didnt want to be weird. But i really appreciate you

  10. Completely relate to the imposter syndrome, but you absolutely deserved your spot on the media tour. You really opened up all the different jobs for me to enjoy through your guides, and I always find your opinions insightful and well considered. You are exactly the kind of person I am happy to see participate in the media tour. Congratulations again and look forward to seeing your Dawntrail content 🙂

  11. I would hate it if they did another player rankings for cosmic exploration. It would disappoint me. Because all the event does is foster unhealthy gaming behaviors, boting, and effective pay to win. Jesus christ, please never again

  12. My caster glam is plate. I'd love to be able to put on any non artifact gear as a glam as long as I had a job that could wear it. As long as they allow people to raid in a pig suit, they are going to have a hard time convincing me that they shouldn't.

  13. on theentor side of things, I heard someone pose the idea of turning the crown into a Watering can. After all, New players are sprouts, Returning players are saplings / freah blooms, And mentors are royalty? it just doesn't fit. but if it became a watering can, Those that want to legitimately help (Like myself) would still gladly take it on, And those that just want the crown becauze of their ego would cease.

  14. I was about to comment about bozja gear because I run my BLM in the judges armor lol

Edit: Xenos and weskalber beef is gonna be epic

I totally understand the imposter syndrome feeling
But you deserve it! Everyone I talk to in my FC and when doing roulettes about learning jobs know about you. Any time I try to recommend it they say they watched your vid before trying to level their alt or even learning their mains rotation! Your guides kill it!

We can all tell that you love the game and the community, especially with your comments on how mentors are. God I've run into some terrible ones.

But thank you for being a pillar of the community. You're one of the few unproblematic FFXIV creators and one of the few I truly enjoy watching!

  15. Your brain and my brain would get along very well I think seeing as they're both assholes to their owners. Imposter syndrome is a blight upon many and I hope that the feeling you got during this trip will last you a long time!
Thanks for all your work ! I'm excited to see what you will do come dawntrail !

  16. Glad you got invited to the media tour Wesk you deserve it. Your guides have actually helped people, I am one of them. I was able to get ALL my jobs to max level and be somewhat competent while playing them, because of your guides. Keep up the great work!!

  17. From when you were feeling down when content stalled when the guides were all made until now when the reality of success, regardless of scale, and an overall job well done starting to sink in. I enjoy hearing you sound more positive and look forward to what you come up with in DT! Keep up the good work!

  18. Your guide videos were definitely helpful to me, especially with Reaper and Sage. I don't know why but getting those to click in my head just from reading the tooltips simply wouldn't work. Those videos were very helpful. Now, while I know not to say something so foolish as calling myself one of the best, I can call myself well rounded enough to use just about any job effectively, if not optimally, and that's in large part thanks to your guides.
