More and more these dungeons sound like FF11 BCNM and KSNM with their small windows of recovery. Even if this has limited revives. (Or my wishful thinking is projecting FF11 to 14. Lol) đ
M+ please! Not sure if the combat and gear system supports it, but I really want challenging light party content. Increased individual responsibility and actual difficulty please please please
I'm so ready for the Criterion Dungeons! Can't wait to get into smaller groups and push ourselves to the limit. Remember, gents, that Yoshi P already said earlier that not all jobs would be viable for the content since the jobs are balanced for 8-man content, not 4-man. You can guarantee there'll be complaints and people wanting them to do job adjustments. But I hope they don't. Stick to your guns, Yoshi P!
I think Criterion difficulty is going to be severely underestimated by many players. Especially healers and tanks.
give ever job a solo heal
just like blue mage
I hope they don't require savage gear to run it. I hope they allow for tome gear.
I think Criterion balance is going to heavily favor the selfish DPS classes. I did some quick maths using data from fflogs. At the 75th percentile (skilled, but not quite world class), Dancer, Summoner, and Red Mage lose roughly 4% of their DPS contribution when going from 8-man to a 4-man party, with some variance depending on the party's overall skill. Meanwhile, Bard loses closer to 10%. The differences put Dancer and Machinist within 1% of each other with Bard more than 5% behind them. Meanwhile, Red Mage and Summoner go from 2-4% behind Black Mage to over 5% each as well.
Granted, these numbers are all single target, raid boss-killing numbers. They don't take area skills into account like criterion dungeons might require. However, if there are bosses in the dungeons (and let's be honest, there will be dungeon bosses), then selfish classes are going to shine VERY brightly compared to utility classes.
I hope Criterion dungeons are content alongside savage released later. That allows players who want smaller groups who want hard content as well have an option and gives raiders another peice of content thats hopefully as challenging as raiding.
I means its going to be a hectic time of year. 6.2.5 launches in a few weeks, New World is launching that as well. Atleast Blizzard was smart and figured they should wait a month.
@KiSparks, thatâs what EX is for.
