  1. A little context. Pyro had set what he thought was a ridiculous sub goal.

8,000 subs and he'll play as a Viera for Endwalker

10,000 subs and he'll instantly Phantasia into a Viera.

He said the 10,000 and sort of lightly scoffed. At the time, I believe he'd just passed 5,000. He said something to the effect of "that's a tall order".
He started this stream at 7,270 and ended it at 10,632. Which is pretty fucking awesome!

Other games give you quality of life upgrades for the game. FFXIV gave quality of life upgrades to Pyro for his actual life. Seems to be a lot of that going around! 🙂

  2. I mean thats fine and all but what does he have left after MSQ? Even all rounded people like Savix, Grim and Annie struggle to fill time with the game so they resort to stalling and reacting.

  3. From the moment he just self destructed on camera, we've watched a slow and progressive recovery process. He seems a lot more stable and happy with his situation now. Plus he has managed something he didn't even think would be conceivable. I'm very happy for him, and I'm glad he managed to find his place here.

  4. WoW community: "This game sucks now." "We wiped once on a dungeon, you're all trash, i'm out." "If you aren't doing end game raiding, you're trash." "Oh my god, everyone in this battleground is trash but me." Trade Chat nothing but boosters

FF14 Community: "Man, wish I could skip the cut scenes for praetorium. Ah well, brb, gonna go grab something to drink." "Fifth time's the charm… ah crap, a blue mage died? Alright, we can just run it again." "Raiding? Nah, doing storyline stuff right now." "I don't really like BGs, anyone mind if I just guard the point? Cool, thanks." People in Limsa comparing Glams

Thing is? WoW didn't used to be as toxic as it is now. It was a slow gain. You always had those elitist pricks, and battle grounds notoriously had that guy screaming at everyone. But generally peaking, people kinda did their own thing. Kind of a sad thing to see the state of the game now. That was from me. Pyro dedicated more time, money, and his soul into the game, before he finally had just had enough. It's a bitter pill to swallow, knowing you spent all this time and effort on something that used to reward it's players, and now just preys upon them. There was a line from a movie I think fits WoW perfectly. "A giant once lived in that body." Remember WoW for what it once was, not the ceasepool it's sadly become :/

  5. You can see in Pyro first-hand, how abusive World of Warcraft actually is as a game. I stopped playing two weeks ago after 5 years, and I feel so refreshed playing FF14. Until Blizzard overhaul their toxic shambles of an MMO, they don't deserve our time or money.

Good for Pyro. I'm subbed (although I can't always watch his streams because I don't want the story spoiled! I'm only midway through ARR!).
