  1. I think its more because you can't reasonably save someone with rescue in FF. In WoW, you grip them instantly, and saving people with it is reactionary. In FF, it takes so long to go off that to actually save them, you need to grip them so far in advanced that they may have just been getting an extra global before moving out with plenty of time to spare.

  2. It doesn't help that people are so frail that being rescued pisses them off and makes them feel insecure. Which provokes healers to go "alright fuck it i just wont rescue people then. Die"

But fuck that. I'm not spending my swiftcast on you, get that ass rescued and get mad while still alive.

  3. I rescue people semi-regularly in Stormblood & Shadowbringers raids. Its mainly because they're run so infrequently (when tomestone events aren't going on), people don't know mechanics. For me, I actually enjoy rescuing folks, and look out for it when I know it'll be a thing (for some reason everyone runs towards Hashmal's flaming arm side lol).

I'm not a Savage raider, but I'd imagine that rescuing is infrequent because, more or less, people know what they're doing at that level. I never played WoW but raid parties are also larger in it, right? I've definitely been rescued when I get tunnel vision on my rotation and something was about to hit me.

There have been times when healer does a rescue that's not necessary, but I'd rather have a healer doing that than the opposite.
