  1. For quick reference on how to spawn the critical engagements.

    Zone 1
    – Kill Magitek Nimrods to spawn "With Diremite and Main"
    – Kill Magitek Infantry to spawn "From Beyond the Grave"
    – Kill Magitek Gunships to spawn "On Serpent's Wings"
    – Kill Magitek Hexadrones to spawn the "The Pilot" skirmish. Complete that to spawn the CE "A Familiar Face"

    Zone 2
    – Kill Magitek Armored Weapons to spawn "Here Comes the Cavalry"
    – Kill Magitek Satellites to spawn "There Would Be Blood"
    – Kill Magitek Colossuses to spawn "Time to Burn"- Kill Magitek Deathmachines to spawn the "An End to Atrocities" skirmish. Complete that to spawn the CE "Never Cry Wolf"

    Zone 3
    – Kill Magitek Helldivers to spawn "Lean, Mean, Magitek Machine"
    – Kill Magitek Calvary to spawn "Looks to Die For"
    – Kill Magitek Rodders to spawn "Worn to a Shadow"
    – Kill Magitek Rearguards to spawn two skirmishes: "Hypertuned Havok" and "Attack of the Supersolder." Complete both to spawn the CE "Feeling the Burn"

  2. My 2nd engagement in the whole zone since starting it was the Time one. Yeah….. At least I was a dragoon, so it felt natural to be on the floor. Our 48 group finished with 2 people standing. Was a blast to watch actually. So glad this guide is here now. πŸ™‚

  3. So needed this when I first got here! The floor and I are pretty much a married couple due to how much intimate time we spend together πŸ˜” always by my side… well front 🀣

  4. What happens in this video is why I'll never be a good FFXIV player. This is entirely too much information to memorize and recall on demand! It would take me hours of studying to memorize all this. I don't have that kind of time to dedicate to a video game. Casual for life…

  5. 19:00 against this boss I was once the last man standing, playing as ninja and managed to defeat it from 2 %to 0.
It was such an intense fight and everybody cheered me on afterward.
I would actually dodge the exo lightning by standing closer to the edge of the arena and use armor rend and lost swift to use my trip j attack more often.

  6. you call the Satelite AoE's in Lean Mean Magitek Machine "Cross AoEs", but they're actually large square AoEs. either way thanks for the video. "Familiar Faces" has been giving me trouble, this should help me hopefully get the Dalbog Duel.

  7. In addition to the different visual, the Diremite also has a different cast for the different "hide behind rocks" attacks – Crystalline for hiding behind silver, Aetherial (or something of the sort) for hiding behind orange.
Also, in Lean Mean Magitek Machines, the Satellites don't always appear in three lines, it can also be a diagonal line across the middle, and an L-shaped set of 3 covering each half that leaves open (seen it once, after watching this video).

  8. Two comments, which will hopefully help people.

First – Belias – he can cast both Time Eruption (go to slow clock, move to fast after it explodes), as well as Reversed Time Eruption (go to fast clock, then move to slow clock area after the slow clock explodes). He can pause either, so you still need to remember if the slow or fast clocks will explode first.

Second – Ice-doggy fight – Ice Pillar has, every time I've seen it, put the two 'safe' pillars in opposite corners of the arena. The line AoE pillars are usually in a rough line between the two. You can use this to try and get moving toward a 'safe' pillar as soon as the pillars show up, before the line AoEs or the pushback markers even show up.

  9. Man "beyond the grave"'s doom mechanic is such a "fuck you" mechanic: Never done this fight before? Didn't read a guide? Fuck you, you're dead.
