I love these videos man. As someone who is new to the game it is very nice to hear the history of the game and how the game was when it was actually 'current content'. Keep it up!
NOSTALGIA
This patch stands out to me the most. This was when the group I started the game with just quit. Been on my own ever since, but it was also when I discovered this channel. So there's that.
This is the precise patch in which I discovered this game and have been playing ever since!
love this series, being a shb baby it's great to have such a nice, concise look at old patches
I'm so excited for this series. I started at the end of 2013, and it's been a wonderful journey.
As someone who has all the big fish in the game, I thank patch 2.2 for introducing the concept of a "boss fish" in every fishing location. I love big fish hunting and I want more. I want MORE.
Patch 2.2 was the patch that hooked me on the lore with the Shahagin Priest
back in my day a zenith weapon was just the weapon name + 1
Looking back at Glamour, you used to need specific types of Prisms for your gear. You needed a mix of Leatherworker, Weaver and Armorer Prisms to glam your favorite outfit. Whatever kind of Crafter you needed to repair a piece of gear was the type of Prism you needed to Glamour it.
Plus I think 2.2 was the Patch XIV jumped to the PS4, lots of people joining with or migrating to the new hardware.
Through the Naelstrom
You mean… Mythflox… cause that was best/fastest way to farm Myth for the relic books if you were a good AOE class
man, watching these vids and thinking back over the years, it really feels like we get less content these days…
Big fishing is wild to me. I remember first trying that lvl 50 big fishing quest, and then giving it up when I realized it was a bunch of luck and waiting.
Weekly reset used to be Monday at 1am PDT, so 24 hours earlier.
This was actually the patch I first started playing, didn't really get to enjoy any of this stuff on release because I got filtered by early ARR and went back to tera for a while, didn't actually catch up and start playing regularly till HW.
Funny to think about, if this game didn't have the glam system, ultimate weapons would be useless LMAO
I can't believe I've been watching Mrhappy videos for nearly a decade! I had to go back and search for the first one I saw which was ARR Bard macros when the beta NDA was lifted. Your work has been solid since day one. Thank you so much for all of your dedication and contributions to the best gaming community on the planet!
Adds that creates a big issue = skill issue.
This patch was crazy. Glamour prisms were SO wonky, I just can't even fathom. But sadly this is when I stopped playing the game. I didn't return until 3.2 so it was WILD lmao
Regardless, I remember the Leviathan trailers and Ninja teaser, especially with the Sahagin content, and LOVED this content
Wait mr happy so most of those features that we use daily now came back in this patch but they are not in 2.0 ??!!! Man then that's means a realm reborn was so bare bones how come u guys had fun back then 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 I am glad I didn't join the game until recently, well I didn't know what final fantasy back then lol 😆 but I am glad for it I don't want to play a bare bones experience, but I feel bad for u guys ❤️❤️❤️ it was simple times u probably get happy everytime they release a thing lol 😂
The thing I remember most from 2.2 is thinking "Wow, look at that cutscene animation, you can really feel the extra money from all the subs they didn't expect to get"
I'm not sure why I was expecting like a side by side comparison between the patch and the way it is now BUT it could've been an easy way for my lazy ass to learn about the current features and state of the game.
Btw nice video as always!
Damn watching this made me realize I've been subbed for a decade basically
