  1. I honestly just hope that one of the wing-mounts we can get in future is basically the Diabolos Wings. I've worn the ones you can get with sacks of nuts since I first arrived in Old Sharlayan, and if they make a mount of them, that will be my one and only mount from then on.

  2. I know it more so fits the theme of FFXIV to have quasi medieval fantasy gear for alot of the rewards, but I am so tired of it. A good chunk of ARR and the expansions are just that. I was kinda hoping this patch would have more tech gear, maybe the trial will but I dunno. I just see the new dungeon sets and already bored of them. If they are your cup of tea then by all means go nuts, but I just want them to do different kinda designs.

  3. I wish they would make more thematic gear related to the expansion. Dawntrail is very future and past themed, but it hasn't felt at all like they are doing much of anything with the gear in that regard. There was some stuff, but I expected more.

  5. Great we are still getting stuck with Woke Lamat and Kona in this patch… Wtf is going on with YoshiP and his team… What happened to "devs r listening to players feedbacks" quote……. This expansion has been a disappointment that can't be refunded anymore.

  6. The "chef" is a scientist. He's wearing a "Mad Scientist" style lab coat and the mittens are just fitting PPE for that. The "chef hat" is a brain case. (He probably experimented on himself, leading to his apparent insanity.)

  7. Personally, I am just tired of people whining about Wuk Lamat. Dawntrail wasn't our story, we knew this from 6.5. We were a mentor to a new adventurer because we are the most experienced adventurer on Eorzea.

  8. Hopefully Wuk dies this patch and the game can be saved. Casuals will have nothing to do this patch either besides a few hours of quests and an alliance raid in a game they never played. Rough, needed relic and a eureka type content already.

  9. PSA:
You're not impressing anyone with your constant shitting on Wuk Lamat.
Really, not at all. All it does is show that you have absolutely no clue about narrative direction.
She's the best thing that could've happened to the narrative of XIV after Endwalker.

While you personally may not like her (for whatever reason), from a storytelling perspective she is a breath of fresh air.
Would you really have wanted another Zero? The WoL was supposed to take a step back, and that's why the game needed a character whose moral compass faced true north, even if you find that boring.

She's not the most original character, true, and of course doesn't stand a chance when compared to Emet Selch in terms of complexity, yet her stereotypical traits (the well-meaning, clumsy/awkward heroine who overcomes her doubts and fights for her beliefs) make her instantly likeable. It was the intention, all along, to make DT more lighthearted, and Wuk Lamat played her role in that endeavor flawlessly, even when pretty much all other aspects of the expansion were disappointing.
